I have been bleeding off and on for a while now. I have been to the ER twice. Yesterday I had my first OB appointment and the baby is progressing. We heard the heartbeat and the rate was 130. I just don't understand why when I wipe I sometimes see light pink blood. The Dr. calls it a threatened miscarriage and tells me to take it easy. But there is not much else that can be done as long as the baby is thriving. IDK I want to be happy but I am so afraid I will loose this one.

Hi all, with regards to bleeding in the first trimester, I had spotting and then light pink blood and on one occasion even a gush of blood (no cramping). This continued from 6 weeks till 10 weeks. I saw my gynae at 9 weeks and thought this is definitely game over and after he did a scan and check he assured me all was well. He said that it was the placenta 'burrowing' into the uterine wall and happens in 1-4 pregnancies, and that the bleeding would subside within 2-3 weeks which it did (huge relief). All is well and the baby is growing well.

Well we had our 13 week scan today and baby is perfect. I am still bleeding but no sign of it on the scan, it is rather strange to see bleeding coming out of me but no source inside. (mind you, thank god). We are thinking it is because my progesterone is a bit low because of my age (i am 46) so i am on supplements every 4 hours, but am still bleeding, just less heavily. Babie's face is the dearest little thing you could see. Does anyone else here have bleeding from low progesterone?? this is my first baby and i am a bit thrown by the whole bleeding thing. Has anyone else had a baby survive pregnancy after bleeding through it?

pinecone - 806 days ago.
it is awful to hear of everyone's bleeding, but strangely reassuring. i am now 13 weeks pregnant, had a full period at 4 weeks, then a sudden bleed at 9 weeks and 12 weeks. They seem to think it is related to low progesterone, as the bleeding stopped within an hour or two of giving me progesterone. I am now on the pills every 4 hours, even through the night, and pessaries as well. Apparently around 10% of women have bleeding through pregnancy, and many go on to healthy babies, but i am still pretty worried.

leine - 853 days ago.
is there anybody who experience light bleeding for 3 days pinkish and it turns to brown?instead of my monthly period due date

manda-may - 888 days ago.
I had a little bleeding in the week after I found out I was pregnant (8weeks pregnant) and it was implantation bleeding and is quite common. If you are worried, check with your doctor/midwife or ring a healthline. If it continues, is heavy, or goes bright red in colour then you need to get to the doctor straight away, but a little light pink sounds like what I had. :-)

trying1moretime - 889 days ago.
I am into my week 5 and last night when I went to the bathroom I had a very small amount of pink color on the toilet paper, this happen twice. Before and after I found out that I was pregnant I have been having very mild twinges/cramps, mainly on my low left side. I got a Beta HCG done this morning and will have another on Friday to make sure my level are increasing and not decreasing. Has anyone gone through this with a sucessfull pregnancy? Please help, I am so worried. I had a MC in June, I was 10 1/2 weeks but the baby measure 7 1/2 when it stopped growing. I can not go through this again.

honeypot81 : I turned 10 weeks today and have the same thing going on with bleeding a little. My doc said to take it easy and come in if gets worse. I have already had a US last week and saw the heartbeat so they think everything is fine but I can't help wonder what is going on. Hang in there!

honeypot81 - 979 days ago.

Nikki Lee - 981 days ago.
Thanks hanakalei - I was hoping that I had implantation bleeding but unfortunalty its now looking like AF:( Never mind, next month maybe?

hanakalei - 982 days ago.
I had implantation bleeding and it only lasted for a few days. It was super super light pink and only was a little bit. I also after that had slight bleeding after intercourse due to the increased amount of blood in my cervix but that also only lasted for a short time!

Nikki Lee - 982 days ago.
Hey ladies. Has anyone on here had implantation bleeding? And how long does it last for? Im hoping thats what im having but not sure?

mommy12 - 1004 days ago.
I haven't started to bleed yet, but its possible as I have been diagnosed with a partial previa at 25 weeks. Which I guess is better than the complete previa I had at 20. I am starting to be more scared of bleeding everyday, because I know my chances of it or higher now. I even dream about it. Oh, well I hope you all have beautiful healthy babies.

I have been crampy for about a week now and started to bleed today they say I have a low lying placenta I'm on bed rest hoping its not placenta prevara? I'm worried the blood started out brown and 12 then red and a clot now brown? Am I okay I still have cramps I have my mobiter on I hear the baby moving I feel like I'm going to worry this whole pregnancy its giving me anxiety already and the doctors won't give me any answers??

lilmiracle2009 - 1026 days ago.
Hello Ladies. Like Sas-Jd, I have been bleeding since the very beginning (since 4 days after conception). I thought I didn't conceive and that I was going to have my period, but then I found out I was pregnant. I was happy, but also worried. I thought that the pregnant was not going to be viable. I am now 22 weeks and the baby is doing great. I am still bleeding everyday. Some days are heavier than others. I have been put on bedrest because of a low-lying placenta and incompetent cervix. I still worry when I bleed heavier or see tiny clots, but I am just taking it easy and take one day at a time. The doctors have not found why I am bleeding, but my doctor is happy with my progress so far.

mrsdenney - 1051 days ago.
bleeding in pregnancy doesnt always mean a miscarriage however it is something that needs to be followed. i bled off an on but always had myself and the baby checked out. i delivered at 30 weeks because of complete placenta abruption. they told me an hour later and both myself and the baby would have been gone. a friend of mine lost her twins at 30 weeks because of the same thing. she just didnt have a ride to the hospital so by the time she got there they were gone. im not saying this is the case with everyone BUT if you bleed and you are pregnant even if it stops make sure you get checked out. these babies deserve that much.

brockman69 - 1052 days ago.
well here i go again i went to the bathroom and wiped very light pink i dont understand what is going on no cramps

mrsjcarr - 1054 days ago.
Well this morning was eventful to say the least. Last night I was not feeling well...My belly was boiling and hurting like crazy.(TMI sorry)It was hard to get to bed, but when I did I woke up to bright red blood in one gush. I freaked out and had my friend take me to the ER. Gotta say the docs in Germany are fast and good. The doc said the bleeding has stopped and was not coming from the sac or around the baby. We also saw the baby heartbeat! When I was in the doc Wed we didnt see anything. She said to take it easy and keep my feet up....I'm going to see my doc Monday to check again, but for now I'm thankful that the little one is holding on for mommy. I'm not hurting just a little uncomfortable thinking about this morning.

cowen - 1055 days ago.
hey there everyone i have had some brown discharge not very much and very light does anyone know what it is im freaking out has it happened to any of use please wb im goin crazy

Sas-Jd - 1079 days ago.
I am one of those who get very worried! I had bleeding from when i found out i was pregnant to now and im 15 weeks. I had a miscarry last Aug. So i was extra worried i had a 6 week scan and everything was fine. Still bled up to my 12 week scan and i had a low placenta. They told me i may bled till it shifts up or in some cases it stays low. I'm doing fine now i still bleed time to time but i was told never to worry. So keep your chins up to who is worried just make a note of when you bleed pop to doctors. You should get a ultrasound to check on baby.

KayandRysMoM - 1090 days ago.
Just to hopefully put some of you ladies at ease a little. I had spotting at 7 weeks and again at 8 weeks. I freaked out bc it was RED blood...not alot but it was there. There was no pain but i still freaked out of course! I ended up in the ER both times bc the second time i passed a clot. With my 1st i never had anything like that. Im happy to say that my beautiful little girl is healthy and 3 1/2 weeks old now!!

sweetaskandi - 1090 days ago.
i jut want to say thank you both amber-d and azangel , you both have made me feel more confident that my pregnancy has a chance of making it. when i m/c at 14weeks i started bleeding but yes there was a lot of pain but not at first it was more like labour the pain got worse slowly over a couple hours, i ended up in ICU due to blood loss as i only had less then a litre of blood left and the drs had trouble stopping my bleeding, i also had allergic reaction to blood transfer, lets just say i was a really mess. both this baby im carrying now and the twins i lost last pregnancy are IVF babies, it would just kill me to m/c again as i cant afford to do ivf again. but im very hopeful now that this pregnancy has much more chance of mking it so thank you both for your comments.

amber-d - 1092 days ago.
I bled for the entire first 10 1/2 weeks of this pregnancy. I went through emotional hell. I am 31 weeks and so far my little guy is strong and everything seems normal but I can say from personal experience that I was so scared and worried the whole first trimester. The reason i want to leave a message here is to reassure those who are spotting, bleeding, cramping or just have a thick, clotty brown discharge that it DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN A MISCARRIAGE> I had all of the above, two seperate mornings i went to wipe and found a tiolet full of bright red blood. I had two seperate doctors opinions and neither could find a cause or reason. One day it just stopped but i must admit not a pee goes by I don;t still look atthe toilet paper. I know it's scary but it just happens to some of us like that. My cousin is due a week before me and has bled this entire pregnancy on and off...bby is fine though.

hi im new to this forum, i am 6w 3ds pregnant, on wednesday just gone i had a fairly big bleed which scared the hell out of me. my gp sent me for a scan and i was told that a perigestation haematona sac was seen, i had a simialiar problem with my last pregnancy which sadly ended in m/c at 14weeks after weeks and weeks of bleeding. my question is has anyone else had this problem and went on to have a healthly baby. thanks everyone
