Choosing Babies Sex:Gender prediction fun

Go ahead-have some fun!

Gender Prediction Fun
There are lots of myths and tales regarding pregnancy. One of the most popular involves the myths regarding the sex of the unborn child. It can be lots of fun trying to determine what's behind that growing bump! Of course, the most accurate method for gender prediction is an ultrasound. The Face

*Many people say that an easy way to tell if a woman is having a boy or girl is to determine if she is more or less attractive. Supposedly, if she is less attractive she is having a boy. This is because of the hormonal mix between the two genders. *Other myths say that if a woman's face changes alot-wider nose, puffier face, texture of the hair, etc..-it is a girl. If it stays the same, she is having a boy. The Eye Of A Needle

*Supposedly, you can tell the gender of a baby by using a needle. For this method youwould take a needle hanging by a thread, take the hand of either a woman or man, and rub the thread up and down once or twice along the palm and dangle the needle abov the center of the palm. If the needle swings back and forth, it is a boy. If it moves in a circle, it is a girl. Wedding Band Trick

*Using a wedding band to predict the gender of an unborn child is very similar to the eye of the needle method. You just use a wedding band instead of a needle. Cravings

*Many myths suggest that a woman can tell whether she is having a boy or a girl by what she is craving. If a woman is craving spicy or salty foods, then she should plan for a boy. If you crave sweeter foods, you should plan for pink!

How You Carry

*How you carry is a popular gender prediction myth. Old wives tales say that if you carry low, you are having a boy. If you carry high, you should expect a girl. In reality, this depends on your uterine tone, muscle tone and the position of the baby. Heart Rate

*Among the theories of gender prediction, if the fetal heart rate is over 140, the baby will be a girl. If the heart rate is under 140, it's a boy. Fetal Activity

*Although all babies move at different paces in utero, it is said that boys will be more active than girls. Morning Sickness

*Many myths say that women who are carrying boys do not have as much morning sickness in the first trimester as those that are expecting girls. Draino Test

*The draino gender test should be performed after the 4 month of pregnancy. This test must be performed outside in a glass / jar that holds can hold twice as much urine as you use as there is a bubbling, smelly, and caustic chemical reaction when you add your urine to the crystal drano. Do NOT do this indoors-the smell is awful!

You will need:
  • Approximately 2 tablespoons of CRYSTAL Drano
  • Medium glass or glass jar. It is best to just throw the mixing glass away after performing this test.
  • Two to Three ounces of urine, preferably the first morning urine.
Take the test materials outside.
Add your urine to the glass jar with the crystal drano in it.
There will be a rapid chemical reaction and it is best to stay well away from the glass jar while the fumes are being produced.
When the reaction stops, observe the color of the test.

If the mixture darkens to a brownish color within the first 10 seconds - It is a boy.
If there is no darkening or color change after 10 - 15 seconds - It is a girl.

I think people should use science in determining the babies gender. A few of my friends at a prenatal class tried http://www.amazon.com/Viaguard-Accu-gender-Prenatal-Determination-Pregnancy/dp/B00AN62SOC/ref=sr_1_7?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1355335926&sr=1-7&keywords=Viaguard and it was accurate. You need to use blood taken from a clinic but it is based on pure science.

Rubes omg, ur symptoms are almost exact as mine. Have boys, preggo w girl, my face is so bad right now, w boys it was fine, i want spicy food, love chile alot but w boys i couldnt stand spicy, carrying high w girl, low w boys, bad bad MS w girl, w boys barely. One big thing too is w boys i craved foods i never liked like mushrooms and menudo (not together..ew) but this time instead i have bad food aversions, i cant eat refried beans at all and i cant stand garlic which i ate like crazy w my boys.

My faced changed allot my first pregnancy and was a girl. My face hasnt changed this pregnancy, and its a boy. I craved spicy foods with my girl, and sweeter thinggs with my boy. Im carrying low with my boy, and carried high with my girl. My girls heartbeat was above 140, my sons is below. My girl was more active then my boy. Never had morning sickness with either babies. SOOOOOOOOOO Id say, from my own personal experience, that the old wives tales are 80%/90% accurate of me.

sweetlady32 - 581 days ago.
Actually the morning sickness for me was accurate every time. I have 2 girls..morning sickness was the worse!!!!! I had that mess all 9 months of my pregnancy..it was just something with the girls. with my son I had it for 3 months, and I believe I'm having a boy this time even tho i'm 10 weeks..because I have morning sickness but not extremely bad like the girls..may vomit once a day..the girls was like 3 or 4 times a day. So I knew My third child was a girl..I didn't need an ultrasound to tell me..just like with this one.

NewMama77 - 704 days ago.
I did the needle and string and also with the ring. It said girl then boy but there wasn't a pause inbetween them? And then it had a pause then another girl. I don't know my guy says 'it's because yoour going to have twins!' But I'm not sure!

rm13842 - 818 days ago.
Haha if morning sickness is a predictor I feel like I should be having 7 girls, it's sooo bad

mcrchica - 939 days ago.
I've got one that has been accurate for all 4 of my kids. The brown line that appears on your stomach, the linea negra, if it is pretty well straight from top to bottom your having a boy, if it's off and one line goes one way and the other another way your having a girl. 2 girls and 1 son and my new son on the way and the line is still straight. I knew before my U/S tech did. For those who get the line check it out :D

lillianshappymommy - 940 days ago.
I did the eye of a needle test it told me I was having a boy. I did the chinese gender predictor it told me I am having a girl. I also did a gender prediction quiz and it said I was having a boy... Too many different results lol. can't wait for my ultrasound.

Suddenlyalone - 968 days ago.
I tried the wedding band test with my late husband’s Ring put it over my father’s hand and it rocked back n forth. I did it over my female dog and it went in a circle. Put it over my belly and it rocked back n forth. Then we tried the test with my father’s wedding band (over his hand and over the dog then my belly) it did the same thing. Toni (good friend/family member) did this test when she was pregnant with her son and had the same outcome. So if this is true I might be having a Boy but we will still wait for the ultrasound on the 5th.

TaylorNicole - 999 days ago.
Wow, do which chinese tests did you do? What website were they on? Ladies, im a new soon-to-be-mommy, so all of this is super exciting to me!

Tryingfor1more - 999 days ago.
Just for fun I looked up some Chinese gender charts for just in case I'm pg this month. With all my others they were all right on the money. This time half of them say boy and half say girl! :-P Too funny!

Lanna1987 - 999 days ago.
I would not even go by this? I did most of these predictions and i got told a girl, but when I finally had my ultrasound done, It was a boy, and the 2 times I had my ultra sounds he still remained a boy. So only ultrasounds know for sure.

TaylorNicole - 1000 days ago.
Mommys, does anyone believe in the morning sickness predictor?? How soon will I get morning sickness?

lizzy831 - 1024 days ago.
the ring has always worked for me but it starts with your first baby then second then so on.it will pause inbetween

lilmama18 - 1025 days ago.
Hey ladies I was wondering of any one has tried the intelligender predictor I tried it and it says boy I'm hoping for a boy does anyone know how accurate it is?

CalebAndAvasMommy - 1102 days ago.
I just did the test with a necklace and pendant and It came up with boy first which was correct and then a girl second...I'm hoping for a girl but i'm pretty sure its another boy!

wingless - 1109 days ago.
GOING NUTZ!! So.. the Chinese calendar has worked for myself with my first child (girl) and my three other friends who also had girls, (all of us months apart). My dilemma NOW, is that my ultrasound doc gave me a different conception date than what I recorded. I'd been VERY good at keeping track in my calendar, and found that the chinese calendar said this one was a boy (thinking i conceived March 1st or 2nd). Doc says Feb 27th or 28... which make its GIRL~! This confusion of a matter of DAYS has totally spoiled my fun lol. (^ - ^) We're happy either way tho~! tee hee

JenSohmer - 1202 days ago.
A friend of mine and I have performed the wedding ring test on many of our friends. And I'll tell you what, it's been right on every time. With me, it showed a boy, by swinging back and forth, then a long pause, then showed a girl, by swinging in a circular motion. The long pause in between is, from what I understand, time gone by in between pregnancies. My son is now 13, and I'm pregnant now with my second child. So, time will only tell if I'm now pregnant with a girl. But so anxious to find out!!

Sissy Pie - 1219 days ago.
The Chinese calender was 'always' wrong for me. We found an 'African' gender calender at http://lightblesser.com It has been right on everyone we tested, even the twins. The date for gender determination worked for my Sister on her Daughter like it told her. It's just kinda neat that it can give you a date like that. :-)

Jr.N-Celias Mami - 1238 days ago.
My intelligender test said girl...chinese chart says boy!

titangoddess - 1296 days ago.
Just wanted to update on the intelligender test I took that said girl and now know 100% it's a girl. Hummmmm....

titangoddess - 1332 days ago.
I also got the Intelligender test and it said girl. I dont know how they can say easy to read results becuase they really are not easy to read. I tried to read it with a flashlight becuase it was so hard to tell the difference. I do not reccomend this test at all but if you want to have a little fun then it is fun. I dont know how reliable it is and like I said it is SO hard to tell the results!

momie2two - 1332 days ago.
i had to go out and buy the intelligender test i know its not 100% but it said im having a BOY hopefully its right my 20month is a girl so it would be nice either way ill love it no matter what =)

layna09 - 1360 days ago.
all the gender things were wrong for me, except the morning sickness myth, i was SO SO sick. but everyone swore i was having a boy, even though i had ultrasounds to prove otherwise.

babyluv843 - 1360 days ago.
I bought the gender prediction test at 16 weeks. I think I got it at CVS (drugstore) anyways it said I was having a boy and I am! lol its a fun thing to try!
