What kind of memorable dreams have you experienced?

Dreams During Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a very emotional time in a woman's life. It is common to experience vivid dreams that are unique and memorable. The vivid dreams are believed to be caused by increased hormone levels during pregnancy. Hormones have been shown to affect emotions and during pregnancy, the levels of estrogen and progesterone is higher than ever. The emotional battles you face during the day can wreck havoc on you during the night and play a part in your dreams, fantasies and fears.

Most women do experience some type of unusual dream during their pregnancy. Occasionally, the dream is upsetting or alarming. Dreams are normal and healthy and can help you to sort out your worries or fears in a healthy way. You might have dreams regarding the health of your baby, sex of the baby, impending birth or other pregnancy related concerns. The most common dreams during pregnancy center around our fears or apprehensions of pregnancy and baby related topics.

When you wake up, can you clearly recall what your dream was about? If so, you should try to find out the emotion that you were experiencing. Were you happy? Sad? Afraid? Grab a pen and a piece of paper and write down what you remember from the dream and how you felt. Try to connect your dream to a feeling that you have in your life. Is there a reason that you might be feeling scared, upset or dissapointed? Listen to what your dreams are telling you and see if they relate to your real-life feelings, worries or concerns.

Many pregnant women dream about losing things or forgetting important things. You might dream about forgetting to feed your baby or leaving him in a store. Some pregnant mothers have dreams that they will not have everything they need when the baby is born. If you have dreams about losing things or forgetting appointments, items or other things, perhaps you feel that you may not be fully prepared to take on the task of motherhood.

Often when pregnant mothers feel that they are "stuck" in their pregnancy or are afradid of being tied down because of the baby, they dream about being enclosed in tight spaces or trapped in a car, tunnel or small room. You might also dream that you are drowning in a pool, a lake or other body of water.

Women that are adjusting to a new diet or are afraid of gaining weight during their pregnancy, frequently have weight-related dreams. Mothers may dream that they are gaining too much weight or "wake up" in their dream feeling too large. You might experience a dream where you are eating the wrong foods or drinking the wrong drinks. Some women that are afraid of losing their appeal or are afraid that they will not be attractive after pregnancy often have dreams about her husband or partner finding a new mate.

Almost all pregnant mothers will have dreams about the new baby and what their family will be like after the baby is born. You might experience life-like dreams of delivering your baby and caring for her. This is simply your body's way of preparing you for the upcoming birth of your child. Dreams about the baby's size, condition or appearance may express anxiety concerning the baby's health at birth. Dreams regarding your baby's inteeligence may be shown through the baby talking or walking at birth. If you have your heart set on a particular sex, you might have dreams regarding the gender of your child.

erickaash - 1982 days ago.
I have been having bad dreams like my baby being taken too soon and not being able to see him/her. And just horrible thoughts. I saw a friends baby girl in the hospital that was lost at birth. I was 3 months pregnant with my son and got very scared. I would never want to seem selfish like I had the same pain as her at all but I will never forget it. I was so very confused and felt helpless for her. I wonder if thats what my bad dreams stem from :(

dazieoo - 1983 days ago.
I dream a lot about work... i get a couple of dreams about baby.... but the majority of my dreams are work related =P

just♥mommy - 1983 days ago.
hi ladies, i am not pregnant (at least I don't think i would be) however, I had the most vivid dream last night. if you could take a moment and read my latest blog 'baby dream' - tell me what you think. i have a 6.5 month old son too btw. it just blows my mind how real it all seemed. i still can't shake it and that was from last night. thanks ladies!!

Brandims - 1995 days ago.
Mommy2b I have the same kind of dreams. I dream that my boyfriend is kissing or holding some other girl in front of me and doesn't even care that Im there and can see what he's doing. Or i dream that he runs off with one of my none pregnant friends. They do feel so real and sometimes I wake up mad at him lol until i realize it was just a dream. And recently I've been dreaming about having very heated arguments with my mom.

mommy2b-dec16 - 1996 days ago.
i keep having dreams my husband leaves me and doesn't care at all. and he'll start making out with some cute little chick right in front of me... i hate these dreams.. they're so real. i wake up feeling sick after them

schweetbaby - 2005 days ago.
my dreams are usually wild or violent. due to which i cannot sleep well. I hope it is normal! Once i dremt that our baby has born with fully swollen body. And doctors said it was because i took too much of Crocin! Funny isnt it?

Tabitha Robertson - 2007 days ago.
i'm not sure if I'm pregnant or not yet, but I feel pretty sure about it. The night after the baby would have been conceived, (hopefully!) when we finally went to sleep, I simply dreamed I sat down on a toilet, took a pregnancy test, and waited on it, and it was a bfp! It felt so real, lol maybe that dream will play out in real life here very soon!

krystalnf - 2017 days ago.
i hope to god i'm not the only one but i've had dreams of being the opposite sex....during sex.... it was freaky.

mamameow - 2022 days ago.
I have nightmares every night.

kebler98 - 2032 days ago.
When I was prego (before we knew the sex of the baby) I dremt one night that I was changing a diaper and a little boy peed on me when his diaper was off. A few days later I dremt our son had unpluged our alarm clocks and told us he just wanted us to rest and stop running around all the time. Had 20 week ultrasound and guess what we found out we were having a boy. It was weird. Guess when he gets a little older I will have to set my alram on my cell phone JUST IN CASE! LOL. Good luck ladies. May all your baby dreams come true.

krystalnf - 2032 days ago.
the very first dream i had before i went to the doctor: i was 11 weeks and they said i was ready to go into labor, i said that wasn't possible. in the dream i gave birth to a very tiny fully formed baby...weird. the other night i dreamed i gave birth to a chimpanzee... i looked it up on the dream dictionary thing and it said 'your maternal instincts have kicked in even though the thought may seem alien to you.'

4thonitsway - 2032 days ago.
my dreams are getting beyond weird. they are all very sexuall so I wont go into details but I think Ive dreamt about every form of sexuality there is and some rather gross me out

Ali*L - 2041 days ago.
Last night I dreamt I got into an arguement with my Mom b/c we both made spaghetti sauce and she was trying to get my very-proud-of-being-Italian husband to say her's was better. Hahaha! I'm going batty from sleep deprivation!!!

3blessings - 2042 days ago.
last night I had the worst dream EVER... It was 10x worse than the normal 'hubby is cheating on you' dream. Right now I'm 26 weeks pregnant and to make a long story short: I dreamt that I went into pre-term labor and my baby had a 1% chance of living and she was starting to come out of me feet first when I was at home and I had to keep shoving her back up tp stay in! I didn't feel any pain though, it was weird. Got to the hospital and they tried to knock me out with gas so they could rotate the baby to be head down but that wouldn't work...They said my baby would most likely not make it and I started SCREAMING...then I woke up. I woke up at 5am and started to cry. I woke up DH but her didn't really care, just wanted to go back to bed. But I couldn't bc I was sobbing. God, I hate these dreams!

My husband says I watch too many multiple birthing shows. Last night I had a dream I was having a c-section and we were in the operating room. The Dr pulled out one a baby after another until I woke up nearly in tears. It's funny now, but I was terrified in my dream!

Mommy2Merae - 2056 days ago.
I've had a couple really memorable dreams so far. I'm only 13 weeks pregnant so of course we don't know the sex yet, but in both the dreams I've had a little girl. In the first one she was already older like 3 years old and she resembled me a lot! (Dark hair and brown eyes). In the next dream I had I actually dreamnt about labor. It only lasted 5 mins and didn't hurt AT ALL! Haha! I SOOOO hope that's an omen that my labor will be quick and I'll be able to handle the pain ;P Or I guess it might turn out to be the opposite! Yikes!!! After baby was born she was like instantly 6 months old! She looked totally different then the last dream and more like her daddy. (Lighter hair and blue eyes). My mom was at home with me and trying to make the baby a bottle. Then my little girl reached up and held her arms out for me to pick her up and I just hugged her so tightly and then she fell asleep in my arms. I can't wait to meet this baby for real and make all these dreams come true!!! <3

Mommyof2Kidos - 2056 days ago.
I had a dream that I was notified of the death of a childhood friend. It was a male friend that was very dear to me. We lost touch once I moved out of state so I have no clue if he ok or not. It was a very vivid dream, and definitely disturbed me.

purdypants - 2060 days ago.
im not pregnant any more and im still having weird and scary dreams. the other morning i had a dream that my boyfriend left the baby in the car and she died from the heat. talk about a nightmare.

artisticchik - 2061 days ago.
Want to talk about weird! I drempt a few weeks back before I knew the sex of my baby that I gave birth to a rooster that laid black eggs. Can we say Kuckoo!!!

WhatCouldBe2 - 2068 days ago.
Im not sure I am pregnant, but I have been having vivid dreams for the past week. The one I just had was that we were building things outside, and it started to rain a lot, til there was water everywhere, then we went inside and I was suddenly more aware of my tummy, I had a baby in there, he started pressing his hands, face, and feet to the outside (even though it was supposed to be too early for that and for me to know it was a boy) My family was there, happy but unimpressed. But I was SO happy.

Mommyof2Kidos - 2080 days ago.
I had the weirdest dream that I was in a public bathroom and went into labor. When I had my baby it came out as a full grown duck! Not even a baby chick, but a full grown duck..... how weird! lol

xmelx88x - 2080 days ago.
Ive dreamt 2ice now that im going to have the baby and leave it in my car boot. Sounds weird i know but i keep dreaming i will leave the baby in places and completly forget???
