Hi girls i hope you are all doing good. Well i had my pessary taken out yesterday - i was slightly a little more dilated to 1.5cm so she thought it was best to take it out now - as im nearly 36 weeks. Cant believe thats it now - my cervix was not soft so she said i shouldn't go into labour this week but maybe by next week - you cant tell really. Its been 12 weeks since i joined this section - and now im finally nearly there. I hope you can all hang in there too girls :o)))

babygirlFAITH - 24 days ago.
thank you ladys for the reply :) ...all tho i feel bad abt me being scared at now 33wks and ya ladies have like a cm in cervical lengh and are CHAMPS! god bless you all cause reading back gave me so much hope and strenght... and the fiber yes is a must its feels scary even alil push i feel like a bulge in my vaginga but its only pressure cause the u/s showed no funneling and i was only a finger tip dialated cervix soft ... so i pray she stays that way atlease 2 more wks my goal is 36 ill be a happy camper !

monika01 - 24 days ago.
babygirl~ my cervix was 3.2 at its longest for only wk 18-21 then i was between 1.8 to 2.6 it ranged alot.. though it was the longest when i had my feet up the most .. i lye in bed the whole time and also hips elevated a bit. ( pillow under bum) i also used lots of fibre to not push during bm.. I had a 34.4 but she was big. 7lb9.9oz but i saw a bunch of babies at the nicu smaller and they were doing well.. no oxygen just need to gain strength and weight.. keep your feet up and get as much rest and bath time as you can..lol.. it wil be a while since it happens agian. :O) Love to all.

yildirim - 26 days ago.
Monika -Yes to great to have made it to 35 weeks - with help of a pessary though. Maybe your right when on bedrest your notice everything!

yildirim - 26 days ago.
Babygirlfaith - i wouldnt worry too much - 3.1cm is a really good length to have in the mid 30 weeks. During the last 10 weeks the cervix length is meant to decrease and 3.1 sounds an amazing length! You didnt mentioned dilation so just take it easy on bedrest - 4 more weeks and you are fully term :o)

babygirlFAITH - 26 days ago.
hi , ladys im 32wks 3 days and im a high risk pregnacy ..today at my u/s my cervical lenght is 3.1 and 2 wks ago i was 4.1 yes big diffrence and i new there would be cause i can feel her like dwn below she is 4pounds 10 oz rght now im praying to make 36 as i alway go into labor at 37 & diliver... but my last was at 35 wks so im praying she keeps in a bit... im on bedrest but alil nervous cause 32 wks even 33 wks is shorter than before :( anyone have a 33 wk premmie ?

monika01 - 26 days ago.
hi ladies ~ glad to hear your haning in there... hip pain is normal and it can get really annoying .. i found i noticed alot of pains when on bed rest.. maybe b/c you have nothing better to do but feel whats going on... also so hapy to hear 35 wks wowo o wow.. i made it to 34.4 which i was super happy about after my first loss at 20 wks... keep ur feet up ladies.. second op. are vital if ur unsure and keep positve .. your lil babies will be here soon and no more stress.. no more sleep either..lol .. best of luck.. my lo is 5 months and i love her more then anything... though i still miss my lil angel i am super grategful an know all that bedrest wk 13 to 29 for me was worth it..

yildirim - 27 days ago.
I will be 35 weeks this weekend! My cervix is still 1.2cm and has been for last 11 weeks. I have been dilated 1-2cm for the last 9 weeks too - but thats not as much worry as before as now nearly full term. Its been a longgggg journey i can tell you. Luckily i have an amazing husband and a great family who has kept me going. Also i have had 4D scans every 2 weeks, With pics and videos to keep an eye on everything so im really lucky. At least your cervix has stayed closed thats a great sign. And are you starting to get everything ready now? I was really worried about you - you just disappeared!!

babybuller - 27 days ago.
Yildirim- I have no clue what my length is now. They just check and make sure my cervix is closed every two weeks. I go back Monday praying everything is still going well. So you are still hanging in there! How is cervix holding up? How many weeks are you now?

yildirim - 28 days ago.
.....And yea i also have hip ache and pain i think its normal...

yildirim - 28 days ago.
BABYBULLER!! Iam so happy tp hear from you and glad everything is all still good - i was really worried about you....How is your cerclage and cervical length doing?

babybuller - 28 days ago.
Hello ladies! Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I forgot my password and I just figured it out this morning! I am now in week 28! This bedrest is really starting to get to me. I just keep trying to stay positive! This past week I have been experiencing horrible hip pain. I was wondering if any of you ladies are having the same thing?

chelle7 - 30 days ago.
faithfullcourage - I also think your doing the best thing getting a second opp. better be safe than sorry!!! . I had a loss in october at 20 weeks. I had no warning or pain just a bleed , when i went in i was already 5 cm dilated! I would keep as close eye on your cervix as poss!! Good luck with the resty of your pregnancy! xx

faithfulcourage - 31 days ago.
Thanks for the advice. Sorry for your loss isisgrl. It's so hard finding any advice relating to heavy equipment operating and pregnancy. Luckily after telling my boss, he is not allowing me to operate the equipment anymore until after the baby is born. I will be stuck in the office on light duty. I do believe that I am going to get a second opinion come Monday. I know I would feel a lot better if I had another ultrasound done. I would just like to confirm that my cervix isn't shortening anymore, versus just waiting to go into preterm labor. I know it's wrong, but I never really trusted my doctors opinions right off the bat... I don't want to have the 'I should have' regrets, so, I'm going to listen to my instincts and get a second opinion. :)

isisgrl13 - 31 days ago.
faithfulcourage i am with vildirim on this one:) its better to be extra safe and pushy hen to feel ' i should have' i too am a heavy equipment op. i almost swear my job hurt my firs pregnancy:( i lost twins back in july!! listen to your gut!! hugs and i am sending all my prayers!

yildirim - 32 days ago.
Hi Faithful - if i was you i would get a second opinion and get yourself signed off work from another doctor. From what i have researched the last 11 weeks - 2.8cm is very low for only 24 weeks. At 23 weeks i was 1.7cm and did strict bedrest - even though i did nothing - my length still decreased. Are you having Bhicks? Please get a 2nd opinion - good luck.

faithfulcourage - 32 days ago.
Hello Everyone, This is my first pregnancy and am super excited to be a mom. We will be 24 weeks on Sunday and today we had our usual 4 week check up and got to review our ultrasound from when we were 21 weeks. My doctor told me today that the baby was breech, but not to worry because it still had time to turn around and move. She also said that the umbilical cord wasn't in the middle, but was a little off centered, but not to worry about that either. And lastly, she said that my cervix was at 2.8 CM, which means I am at risk for preterm labor. I got put on light duty at work, but I'm not really sure what that consists of. I work as a heavy equipment operator... I am exteremely worried about this. Everything I read online says a lot of people get put on bedrest, have follow up exams and etc. She said there was no need for another ultra sound and not to worry unless I started spotting, bleeding, etc. Maybe it's because it's my first time being pregnant that I'm so worried... Any suggestions? Should I get a second opinion? Don't they wanna know if my cervix is shortening any more than it was a few weeks ago? Millions of questions rush through my mind, so I'm hoping for a little guidance from people who have been there. Also, would this be why I feel the baby kicking so low? It seems to be kicking around my lower abdomen a lot. Anyways, thanks for any help. I'm just nervous about my little boy inside of me that i've been so happy and anxious to meet, just hopefully not too soon.

monika01 - 35 days ago.

isisgrl13 - 43 days ago.
hi its me again. things are calming still blood in discharge but its light and brown. i will take this over the dark red bleeding i had last week. as of friday baby is fine and so is cervix just soft. so here i lay praying almost every hour lol. no joke. my doc is away but will see him in two weeks also there is somene taking his place for two weeks if need be. i have made up my mind we have to bring this baby home! stomp! lol. love u all and pray that you all bring home your bundles. Yildirim, your story makes me smile. soon you will b bring home your little one:)

yildirim - 46 days ago.
Isisgrl - sorry to hear you had such a shock - it must have been scary. Sorry i cant really help you - but when i was 7 or 8 weeks i had bleeding - with fresh red blood - i thought i was miscarrying - but went for scan and all was ok. when i think back now it must have been due to IC (which we didnt know about then as they never checked my cervix) My cervix must have been soft and very sensitive. So if they say your cervix is closed then keep on your bedrest and your cervix will hopefully stay strong.

isisgrl13 - 46 days ago.
hi everyone:) hope everyone had a great christmas. we did however boxing day sucked. i felt my pants to be wet and sure enough blood filled them:( went to er and bleeding calmed. they said it was minamal but to be it looked like alot, like a full blown peroid. they have givin me two ultra sounds and cervix is closed and baby is fine. however my cervix is soft and very senitive. all i can do now is lay still and pray:) pls pray for me. anyone have somthing like this with a good ending? hugs all

carlos-erin - 52 days ago.

yildirim - 56 days ago.
Thanks Chelle7 -its a blessing that i have come so far - i feel so lucky. This forum is a great help to read positive stories. I had no hope 8 weeks ago when i first discovered my short cervix - but 1 particular member on here gave me hope from her success story, i feel without her positive words that i would never have got this far! i i am truly blessed to be here. Good luck with ttc when you feel ready - and i wish you the best. Isisgrl13 - I was too late for a cerclage so i had a rubber pessary placed instead - you can read the story on my profile - there are the website links too for info on the pessary on my profile - its an amazing life saver this little piece of rubber - and saved my daughter .

chelle7 - 56 days ago.
