mum to twins x2 - 444 days ago.
i have 6 children, a 9yr old boy, an 8yr old boy, twin 4yr old boys and twin 8mth old boy/girl. my first set of twins i had a perfect routine with but my second twins are sooo different, they never seem to want to sleep at the same time, they still want a bottle through the night but at different times and get up a 5 everyday, but on the plus side they are very happy, contented babies which makes up for any hard bits

SecondPregFirstTwins - 565 days ago.
Alleybell, I'm a mother of a four year old boy, and twin two year old boys. I know what you are going through. Been there done that, and am still doing that. If you want anything at all, just message me.

manda-may - 726 days ago.
tripsontheway... congrats! How exciting for you. I have twin boys, not triplets and used the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles. I haven't tried anything else, as the boys took to them straight away and haven't looked back. I bought 15 bottles second hand with some formula dispensers as well. I didn't have enough milk for my boys so I breast fed with a formula top up at every feed. I used to prep the formula once a day and made up up to 12 bottles to put in the fridge (since it lasts up to 24 hours) so that I could just grab them out as I needed them. Good luck with your triplets, I hope this helps. :-)

tripsontheway - 727 days ago.
I know there is a separate board for bottles, but I'm more specifically wondering what parents of multiples use. I'm not sure if or how long I'll be able to nurse the triplets. Depends on how long in the NICU and when I return to work. For my soon to be 8 year old, we used the Vent Air bottles and they were great. Downfall is they have a lot of pieces to be taken apart and cleaned......a time consuming job. Does anyone recommend something better to help with the time as well as the best option for the babies? Thanks.....seems like forever since I did all of this!

I'm a mother of twin fraternal girls that are 6 months old and a 2 year old son. The adventure is definately challenging and I'd love to find support from other mothers of multiples. As soon as i get my routine down and everyone is on a good schedule, some starts teething or potty training and it all goes to pot! Some days it all runs smoothly and i even get a nap and then other days i run myself ragged. Any suggestions? The only thing that seems to give me an escape right now is my supportive husband and the gym (Zumba classes).

tripsontheway - 763 days ago.
I'm 16 weeks pregnant with triplets, identical boys and a fraternal girl. Having lots of complications so have been on bedrest for about a month and will be for the rest of my pregnancy. Looking to connect with other moms of multiples for advise and support.

took the twins and my almost 4 year old to the grocery store today all by myself,,,it was time,,,im the mom that their kid has to hold hands with or be in the basket at all times so i didnt know how it would work with cain my 3 year old...he held on to the stroller the whole time except for once i was pleasantly surprised how well it went ,,,just got 50 in grocery and made it a short trip,,,it felt good to be out with all three and feel like the situation wasnt out of control,,,the twins our are 3 and 4 children so i can imagine how it would be for them to be our firt children....like having 2 firft born,,,special,,,,with the weather getting beautiful again i think everything is getting better,,,,

manda-may - 879 days ago.
My twin boys are now 13 months old. It is great having two boys together. I know that there are moments when things are challenging but I always think that having two children at completely different ages and stages must be really difficult/challenging too. Mine do everything around the same time which I think must make things easier, and I was watching them today as they laughed and squealed together having a great time. Just so lovely! These were our first children and are a real joy. There are some things that I can't do during the day with them with just me, like taking them swimming, etc, but most of the time if I am around other mums, I just ask if they can hold/feed/burp one while I do the other. They are really really well socialised with adults because I have always handed them off to my friends. Good luck to all the mums out there beginning a multiple birth adventure. Once you get over the first big surprise and panic, it is all good, and there are times where you just look at them and think 'how lucky are we?! Everyone else gets just one and we get two!!' So all the best!

oh something i would have loved as A BABY GIFT WAS A portrait sitting as much as you spend on everything things like getting a proffesional picture done gets pushed aside

2boysontheway - 879 days ago.
its been a long time since ive been on here, my boys sawyer and stone r 14 months old.....ladies if you think things r hard trust me it gets harder lol...people always ask me how we do it and i cant help but say 'you just do it?'....its still very surreal that we have twins,,,the days r built totaly around the babies them being still so young its a much better day when they dont have to go anywhere,,as hard as is its we love them terribly ofcourse,,,NO MATTER THE GUILT LADIES take care of yourself as often as youn can!! you will have nothing to give your family if you dont give to yourself first,,,a good stroller for twins is the gracon duo glider we love it for the money 150.00 still works great after they grow out of the car seats,,,a great baby shower gift for twins HONESTLY is lots of something they need everyday like diapers, burp cloths, baby rags, and lord have mercy bibs....when you have to buy double its crazy

I am 6 1/2 months pregnant with twin boys, getting nervous for their arrival. I also have a beautiful 2 yr and 2months old daughter (Ava Meri) and a wonderful little boy (Kayleb) he's 15 months. My life is busy now I can only imagine how hectic my life is going to be. We weren't trying to conceive but ironically I went to my dr for birth control only to find out I was a couple weeks pregnant already. Scared me but I LOVE and ADORE my babies with all my heart and wouldn't want it any other way.

heh, im 12 weeks pregnant with identical twins and was wondering can anyone reccomend a good double stroller?

abcsmommy - 1055 days ago.
I have 7 1/2 month old identical twin girls and a 3 1/2 year old son. From the time they came home the girls have been angels. I am loving ever minute of being a mommy of multiples. My son loves them too. One of my girls has been crawling for 2 months and the other just started going backwards. Yup, busy busy busy! My poor son just wants them too be bigger so they can play more - LOL! I just want them to stay small! I am loving watching them grow together and interact (steeling toys from one another already) and I think it is absolutely amazing. They are in awww of their big brother and I am in awww of all 3!

SecondPregFirstTwins - 1056 days ago.
My identical twin boys are 8 mths old now. Plus I have a 2yr-8mth old toddler. My life is busy busy. They have been sleeping through the night for about a month now. Up at six am. They both crawl backwards and sit up on their own and rarely fall over. My toddler is a good helper. No twins run in my family at all. This was a total shock and a blessing. Some days it still feels like I'm dreaming. I love my boys so much and wouldn't change it for the world. How r u other moms doing that have twins?

shellyseamonkey - 1056 days ago.
i have a question for moms with multiples.. ive had them home for a week almost 2 there 3 weeks old.. anyways, how was it when yo brung yours home? i have a 1 year old and i cannot tell you how easy it is the only time they cry is if there hungry.. was it hectic or calm when you brought them home

::Isaac::Gabby::Amber - 1073 days ago.
I want to have twins. Any one that can help me go through the steps into having these wonderful blessings! I know that I am ready. Twins run in my family. It also takes me a very long time to get pregnant. Its like I take almost a year sometimes. All of those BFN.. have been very hard on me. It took me about 8 months to conceive my first baby, only to miscarry (which was very hard), then 7 months to concieve my little angle Gabriellah. So now my daughter is almost 5 months at the end of this month, and I am ttc. I am trying soo early because I want my babies close in age. If I wait to long then I might never get pregnant. I love my daughter sooo much and to give her a big family as what I and her daddy have is my dream. Twins is what I have dreamed for. I just want to know the exact steps I can take to concieve my babies. Or increase my chances for having twins. On the bright side they do run in my moms, and dads sides of family. Oh and my husbands moms side. But i dont think that matters. But anywyas. HELP! Please!

My girls are 8 months old today! They have started having trouble napping during the day. They want to sleep on my boobs and they wake up when I attempt to lay them down. That's how I'm typing now, because I'm not about to wake them up. I made a feeble attempt about an hour ago but the babies let me know who's in charge. They will nap in the car or in the stroller but other than that only the magic boobies work. I think they just want to be close to me. Now that they are older I don't hold them as much because they are always playing. They are also eating baby food and they definitely have taste buds! They can't stand peas, green beans, or anything healthy. They LOVE bananas, and ice cream. I know, shame on me, but I couldn't resist. I gave them a taste of my vanilla milkshake and they were going crazy trying to get more. Some nights we are blessed with a good nights sleep, but others they decide to have a late night party. Leaving the house is always interesting. I call it 'SHOWTIME' because of the people who always come up and ask me, 'are they twins?, 'are they boys or girls?', 'how old are they?', and the list goes on and on..... 'My grandson has twins, my cousin has twins, I had twins 35 years ago, and so on. Needless to say a typical trip to the grocery store now takes double the time. My poor husband will go outside to get the car and bring it to the front of the store and he ends up just sitting there for like 10 minutes because someone always stops me on the way out to ask about the babies. I used to get upset, now I just realize this is the reality of my life now. Anyway, like I said I'm stuck on the couch with the girls sleeping on the twin feeding pillow and I have nothing else to do but type on my laptop. I miss all of the twin mommies that used to talk all the time when we were pregnant. I hope everyone is healthy and happy.

Hi everyone my boy/girl twins are 6 months old now and are on solids, which is going great. They pretty much sleep from 7pm till 7am. They are certainly becoming more demanding and I am finding it a struggly at times, but having a bedtime routine helps alot. Mine hardly sleep through t he day though, how does everyone elses sleep by day? would be nice to here from someone who know how it feels to have two demanding babies ha ha!!!!
