We lost our little peanut Tues Oct 19 2010. We had to terminate due to medical reasons, our little one had a 10.6mm cystic hygroma, diphramatic hernia, fetal hydrops and likley Trisominy 13 or 18. There was no chance of survival. We are trying to move on, but I am having a difficult time trusting in my decision. God gave us the gift of one beautiful baby girl and I guess he just wasnt ready for us to have this little angel. Our baby now has its angel wings and will be with me for life, even though I never had the chance to hold him/her. Because we made the decision to terminate I find everyday a stuggle. I trust that we made the right decision BUT as a mother its your job to protect you children and I couldnt do that for this baby and I feel terrible guilt everyday.

I have previously been though both a d&c and a naterual miscarriage, also had open surgery for an ectopic. Out of all that I have been though I would say the worst was open surgery, followed by the naterual miscarriage then the d&c. So many people get scared about it which is understandable. alex.arrons.mom I would say if there is no sign of it coming out naturally then it may be best to opt for the d&c...it is a difficult decision to make. And full of emotions, I opted for a d&c as at 12wks the heartbeat stopped at 10wks and my body still thought i was pregnant. Although I opted for the prcedure I then got very upset that they were taking my baby from me. The only thing I feel you should be warey of with a d&c is that your body can go back to 'normal' very quickly...just cause your body is feeling this way dont mask the pain inside. I went back to work just a few days after as i was feeling fine, but emotions have a way of creeping up on you and about a week later it all hit me hard, very hard. I have been though some dark times...but things will get better. I have had a lot against me...the previous losses and had a tube removed with the ectopic, but am now pregnant again and all is going well so far and I pray everyday that it continues to do so. To this day I still grieve for my 3 angels, and even wear 3 angels on a pendant to keep them close to my heart. Ladies please allow yourself time to grieve and dont give up hope x God bless you x

Just found out today that our baby doesn't have a heartbeat and didn't have any growth past 7 weeks. I'm almost 11 weeks. My options are to have a D/C or let it happen naturally, but they don't know when that will happen. I am leaning towards a D/C, but was wondering what everyone's opinions are. We're kind of in a daze right now. It sucks and there was nothing we could do about it.

i had a D&C a week ago. our baby didnt have a heartbeat at 8.5 weeks. its just so hard to deal with another loss, i had a natural MC at 6 weeks in February 2010. we're praying for you all that the good Lord will give each and everyone of us healthy children.

Hello Ladies, Well I am hoping I can get some feedback on my situation. Last Wednesday I went to the hospital with bad pains and felt pressure (like having to go pee) I was 12 weeks pregnant and this was my third pregnancy. I have a 18 yr old and last year I miscarried at 15 weeks due to an incompetent cervix (they believe) and now this time I miscarried and they believe due to placenta abruption. I really don't understand I went to the ER with cramps and bleeding and an ultrasound was performed and baby was moving and doing fine with a strong heartbeat. A few hours later I miscarried. Two weeks ago I had a cerclage put in and everything seemed fine, although I started bleeding heavily the day after the cerclage but the dr said just to be on bedrest and take it easy. The rest of the week I had dark brown spotting and it seemed to be trickling off and then all of a sudden last Wed. I started bleeding and had the pain. Since then I had a D&C on Thursday and had light bleeding and all of a sudden this afternoon I started bleeding a little more then I have been but no blood clots. I thought it was suppose to be getting lighter and it looked like it was getting lighter and it looked like this morning it was going away but its not. Both of my last pregnancies was concived through IVF. Anyone have any idea when the bleeding should stop and when will I start my next cycle. Anyone have any input about my miscarriage. Also, both pregnancies im noticing i bleed after orgasisms but this last pregnacy it only happened once. My bf and I are looking forward to getting pregnant soon but this time it will be with a frozen embryo transfer. The last two times was a fresh embryo transfer. Any input regarding my situtaion is welcome. tnx

I had a D&C on on Dec 17th. It's going to be a month really soon (today is Jan 11) and I still have not had a period. I've had spotting and even some bright red blood. No Pain, no pregnancy symptoms so I want to think that the D&C procedure worked and took everything out. Just don't know when I am going to get my period? Does anyone else had a similar situation??thanks

veronicanewmommy - 1278 days ago.
I had a D&C yesterday, it wasn't bad at all. The nurses and Doctor where amazing.. I was put asleep so I didn't feel any pain. When I woke up it was all over. I had minor cramps when I woke up, but they gave me pain medicine and today feel great. I am ready to start new again. We are going to try again soon.. Soo glad the blighted ovum pregnancy is over. I thank God the surgery went ok. Have a nice day everyone, i know i am..

Well, I went in last night for my d & c. The procedure its self was not bad at all. It was the pre op they did that killed me. They gave me 6 injections in my vagina, inserted something into my cervix to dilate. That was the worst part of it all. Today I feel totally normal, very tired, but normal. I hope you ladies that are having to go through this all have an easy time like I did.

I'M fINALLY BACK ON HERE! IT'S BEEN A WHILE. 2 WEEKS AGO I HAD TO GET A D&C AFTER AN UNSUCCESSFUL MISCARRIAGE. I FOUND OUT THERE WASN'T A HB AT 9.5 WKS AND WAITED 2 EXTRA WEEKS TO SEE IF I COULD MC ON MY OWN. WELL I DID'T SO MY DR.INSERTED PILLS TO INDUCE IT AND IT DID. I LOST MY BABE AT THAT POINT I THOUGHT, BUT NEVER STOPPED BLEEDING ,SO I GOT THE US AND THERE WAS RETAINED TISSUE. I'M FINALLY OVER THE BLEEDING AND SO EXCITED!

leanbean - 1309 days ago.
Thank you for leaving that, it was so sweet.
