@Jashell76, my situation is similar to yours. I had 3 children then tied my tubes. After 10 yrs and being remarried i decided to try again. We did 1 fresh cycle of IVF which did not work and then went on to try 2 frozen cycles which didnt work either. After all that we took a break from it all then 5 yrs later decided on a tubal reversal. After our first try 6wks after my reversal we were pregnant and we were so happy. Our son was born very healthy full term. I have since had 5 MC's and dont know why. My doctor put me on Clomid on cycle days 3 to 7 and i just had my trigger shot. I will see if this helps. I problem isn't getting pregnant its holding the baby. The doctor said it could be that i have weak eggs. So the meds are supposed release more viable eggs so I hope this works out for me. My DH and I are gearing up to start trying IUI, I have my concerns over the medications that some take, need I worry. A little history, have 3 children naturally concieved, then tubal ligation, then tubal reversal and now Inferility issues with me. I have tried 5 rounds of clomid that did not work. Then 5 rounds of Femara, with one round producing a viable ovum, but did not ovulate.

Hi am 39 and we tried to concieve naturally for three years and did not happen. We are considering IUI any advise please?

Any advise for IUI, we are considering IUI, but Iam little afraid, is it true that IUI raises the risks of preganacy complications, like miscarages and Premature pregnancy?

SEEKER-YAY, congratulations!!! My hubby & I are trying IUI for the first time hopefully on Tues or Wed, so another week. I go in for my u/s on the 28th :) Towards the end of last year we got our BFP on our 3rd cycle of clomid. Sadly our little one passed away at 7wks. Now here I am again on my 3rd cycle of Clomid and also trying the IUI....sure hope it works for us too. How are you feeling??

@vtbride - I was discouraged after I researched the success rates too. I'm just glad I was oblivious to that fact for the first week which made me unrealistically optimistic. Which is good since stress can play it's part. Hope you get your BFP soon!

Well, I wanted to post this for anyone who just had their first IUI done or is going to have it done soon. I got my BFP Today!!! We just had our first IUI cycle done on Sat. 2/19/11. I am 11 DPO today. We had two follicles (one at 19mm and one at 26mm) and 86 million spermies after washing. My progesterone was checked on 8 and 10 DPO. It was 34 on 8 DPO and 69 on 11DPO. We're praying for a sticky baby this time. This will be our 5th pregnancy and so far, we've had no live births yet. Hoping that IUI is just what we needed. Hope this information helps someone during their 2ww. I know i tried to find as many success stories as I could for encouragement.

Don't be discouraged! IUI isn't 100% but I've read many profiles where IUI was successful on the first 3 tries. Keep us posted!

My husband and I just did our first IUI procedure last Saturday on 2/19/11. Hoping for a BFP on March 6th! Not sure what to expect but really hoping for some good news. If anyone else has had experience or an encouraging word about IUI, please share!!! Also - I go in tomorrow to get my progesterone levels checked and then again on Monday - did anyone else have to do this?

Just wondering about anyones experience with IUI with or without drugs. I'm ovulating but we still need to get my fiancees sperm tested to see where he is at. Even if I am ovulating and we decide to go with IUI I wondered how different the results might be.

I will most likely be getting my second IUI next week. Any pointers? I'm on 50 mg Clomid and I get the trigger shot after a positive OPK. I also take Progestrone 2 days after the IUI. Last time I had 4 good folicles. Still a BFN! My husband and I have been trying for a year and a couple of months.

Amk- sorry it did not work:( We were successful with our first IUI 2 years ago and are in the 2 ww right now to find out the results of this IUI. I did clomid- 100mg days 3-7, IUI 1 on CD 14 with trigger shot and IUI 2 on CD 16. I had 2 eggs...started progesterone on CD 16. Wishing, hoping and praying......

First IUI failed, my stat's this cycle: 50 mg of clomid cd 5-9, cd 13 ultrasound shows 3 follicles (30mm, 21mm, 16mm) trigger shot given, estradiol level 540. CD 14 IUI. 7DPO progesterone 28.2. 14 DPIUI negative pregnancy test.

Started my period today!!! Which means we are now doing IUI this cycle! I am so thrilled! Baseline ultrasound tomorrow, clomid weds through sun then the following week insemination!

My Husband and I are looking at trying IUI for the first time next month. That is if I am not pregnant this one. We have been trying for about a year and few months. Wish us luck.

Hi Blue star! Ok here is your hope! We tryed naturally for 2 .3 years and DH has low motility sperm..and we went to fertility clinic and started our journey there...and of course I had hope but at the same time felt hopeless...lets be honest here those are natural emotions at that point in time...I had no known fertility problems and the Dr. said he will do a cycle with no meds and it did not work :( So for the hell of it I went on Clomid anyways! lol...and it produced just 1 mature egg..I was hoping for more to up the chances thats why I went on because I released naturally every month anyways...anywho I did it... So we went for IUI #2 and low and behold it worked!!!! I am now 10 weeks....even if it doesnt work the first few times really means nothing because its timing...it may not be you at all :) So stay hopeful darling!

Hi, just wondering if there are any success stories with IUI, we are on our first round of IUI (IUI this Friday) and its our second round on clomid 50mg and ovidrel injection...just looking for hope. ;)
