The days given are based on the average. Take plus or minus 3 days to be sure, also make sure you've read the following note.

Note that you are most fertile around the ovulation, the day your egg is released. This doesn't mean that you aren't fertile on other days! You can get pregnant at any day of your cycle:

Guidelines for getting pregnant -- or avoiding pregnancy -- usually assume an average woman is fertile between days 10 and 17 of her menstrual cycle. But researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences have demonstrated what some accidentally pregnant women may have long suspected:

Only about 30 percent of women actually have their fertile window entirely within that timespan.

In fact, the researchers found, there is hardly a day in the menstrual cycle during which some women are not potentially fertile. Women in this study were of prime reproductive age (most between 25 and 35) when the menstrual cycles are most regular. The window of fertility should be even more unpredictable for teenagers or for women approaching menopause

Mfarmer - congrats on the job, but bummer about the lack of overtime. I got a new job too, I start next week. Im rather excited as I havent worked in over 2 years. I had a horrible pregnancy with DS15mths and spent the first 12 mnths at home with him.

Angelic- I am good thanks for asking.. we BD on CD14 and CD16, but we are not 'trying'... I had a job interview, and i am kinda excited... but I thought there was going to be a lot of overtime avlb... turns out that there will not really be any :/ Sooo thats reallyyyy stinks. I wanted to get this job and have the possibility of overtime so I could quite my other job(s)... so now I am really not sure what to do. I was sick yesterday after the interview.. I had a 4 hrs nap and then slept another 10 hrs after that! I feel a little better but not much :(

hey angelic. well i think i know why i havent conceived the past two months. this whole time i thought that the big glop of ewcm that i get was a sign that ovulation HAD ALREADY occurred .... until i read that its a sign that ovulation is COMING. meaning NOT YET. so we werent timing our bd right. so we did it last night, AND tonight, ( had ALOT of ewcm today) soooooo we shall see?

well i just got my ewcm so i really hope it worked by us bd last night. we hadnt bd since thurs night so i hope that it was nice and potent. lol. go swimmies go!

Congrats imsoexcited!!! That's wonderful news! Finally a BFP on here. Hopefully this will start a wave of BFP's! Anyway, I wouldn't worry about the magnitude of the line. I never got dark lines with any of my pregnancies including the last one and I'm 16 wks now and feeling the baby kick like crazy:) So I'm sure that you will be fine. Mommyryan - I think the every other day thing is what worked for us too. My DH is 44 now and i suspect that had something to do with the everyday thing not working. Good luck!!!

CONGRATS imsoexcited, I wouldnt be too worried as it was probably just too early to test. Remember we dont always O when the calendar says we will.

so i woke up this morning and though AF would be here. she was due thursday 3/31. went to the bathroom and nope she wasnt here. so i took a test and got a BFP!! it's concerning me though i test on thursday and got a negative. and today when i tested it wasn't very dark after 2 m/c should i be concerned?

Thanks so much, chatter. Definitely very sad for the both of us =( My dr said some suggest waiting 3 months but he said I'd be fine just after I get my first cycle. I don't think I could wait 3 months =/ It's hard just waiting 1 because I know several people who got pregnant before they got their cycle after an mc, but I want my body to be healed so I'm making myself wait. Need to be pregnant again to help move on =/ But I'll never forget my twins.. meh

cd 11 today. feelin positive this month. more relaxed i think. we have decided to bd starting 4 days before ovulation and do it every other day to see if it helps with sperm count. so. tomorrow and sunday because monday i will 'o'. the last 2 months, we didnt bd the day BEFORE ovulation. we shall see what happens. my hub is gonna be 39 this year so maybe his stuff just needs to build up?? i know im ovulating because i get the heavy cm and i just feel it.

CD12, and no sign of EWCM..i have a feeling the clomid isnt going to work for me this month as I usually have plenty of signs that O is just round the corner, and yet im having nothing.

I am so sorry Kristen. So sad for us! The doctor told me to wait a couple of months before TTC again to let my body heal. I am sorry for not being on more but since I can't TTC right now it just seems sad. I may not get on much for a couple of months but I am thinking of you ladies and wishing you all the best!

Hey ladies I believe I am about 10-14 dpo and I experienced some light bleeding though it was implantation and my period was due yesterday and still no signs of af. Took hpt and have gotten about 4 bfn since about 4 days ago! So discouraged....
