The days given are based on the average. Take plus or minus 3 days to be sure, also make sure you've read the following note.

Note that you are most fertile around the ovulation, the day your egg is released. This doesn't mean that you aren't fertile on other days! You can get pregnant at any day of your cycle:

Guidelines for getting pregnant -- or avoiding pregnancy -- usually assume an average woman is fertile between days 10 and 17 of her menstrual cycle. But researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences have demonstrated what some accidentally pregnant women may have long suspected:

Only about 30 percent of women actually have their fertile window entirely within that timespan.

In fact, the researchers found, there is hardly a day in the menstrual cycle during which some women are not potentially fertile. Women in this study were of prime reproductive age (most between 25 and 35) when the menstrual cycles are most regular. The window of fertility should be even more unpredictable for teenagers or for women approaching menopause

Hello Ladyies I Just got my Iud taking out July 23rd I we are trying to conceive any idea how long it will take , Also i started bleeding , i think its my period 1 day afther takeing it out , i have 2 kids and it only took 1 month to get pregant with both my kids , thanks let me know :) good luck all!

Okay ladies... this is my first post here... am so confused... I got my AF on the 11 June last month, this month I got AF on the 14 of July but it lasted only 2days which is very unlike my AF.. damn thing has to stay with me for 5 days... i have heard it could be implantation bleeding... now.. i tested this morning and it showed negative and then after a couple of hours it shows a very faint line... now I know it should not be trusted as it could be an evap line... but i so want it to be a positive.. so I test again but no faint line now even after an hour... so what do u ladies say... i want to knw quickly as i smke and don wanna harm my baby.. no other symptoms except that i am feeling dizzy for the whole day for the past couple of days... with my first born 3yrs back.. i was 6wks preggers but the hpt came back a very faint positive.. .any inputs wud b be of great help!!!!!!!

Gotta love having sore boobs for 2 weeks and then nothing... stupid hormones. Why won't the little buggers just implant? Maybe we need to eat more junkfood and drink more soda like the teenagers, they seem to get knocked up overnight. Not that I'm bitter I just want to have a baby and we have tried so much.....sigh.

ok I think I somewhat understand. Basically it doesn't really matter when we actually conceive the baby, it's based on the date of my lmp, which could be the period before BD or it could be the period after BD.

According to this chart I was due to O on the 22nd June, hubby and I BBD only once that month on the 19th, and tada it was just luck in timing that gave me my BFP. Your first month of pregnancy is calculated from the first day of you LMP, you generally ovulate 14 days before your next period is due...so on a 28 day cycle that is smack bang in the middle...I hope this helps you to understand..

Hello, I'm confused reading all the rules for trying to conceive. I was ovulating last night and my husband and I tried to get pregnant last night. However, looking at their chart on here, I was most fertile the day before? So if I have sex on my ovulation day instead of before it, what are my chances of conceiving? Also, when I was pregnant before they guessed my daughters due date based on the day of my LMP. But if I have intercourse when I'm ovulating, that's like 2 weeks before I am supposed to get my period, do they start counting after I get my period and just not count the two weeks before? Or do I not get my period and they count from my period before I had intercourse, in which case my kiddo could be 2 weeks younger than they are estimating. I'm sorry I'm all confused!

hi ladies.....this might be a stupid question...i had sex with my husband july 3-4 (early morning 1 am) and according to my calendar i was fertile....is there any way to tell if im possibly pregnant so soon? I asked my friend who started her period the same day as me and is also trying..and she said im ovulating right now. Are there any early signs??? :) TIA
