Hello., I am new here.. I am just wondering if anyone used/bought an OPK online(early-pregnancy) and had a positive result? i haven't got any positive result and I used it 2x a day starting on my CD10 to CD 25. So I don't know if the kit is damage or it's just me.

Hello, this is my first post. I am currently breastfeeding my 17 month old and do not have periods. I did have one when she was about 8 months old and have not had one since. I have no idea when I am ovulating. So, my question is, should I use an ovulation predictor kit? I dont even know how they work.

TTCourlittlesmith - 455 days ago.
So you can ovulate right after AF???

cari226 - 472 days ago.
Hey, Giarratano- I also just got my 'smiley' face! Good luck to you!!

Giarratano Party Of 3 - 482 days ago.
I just used the digital clear blue easy test for the first time, and I got a POS LH surge, which I never did get with the regular test strips. I paid like $25 for 7 test with the digital. Much better to use and easy. All you need to see is a smiley face and or a blank circle. Yesterday was a blank circle and today was a smiley face.... YAY!!! I totally reccommed. We BD last night, and will continue to do that tonight and tomorrow.. I hope it's our month....

synthiaw - 539 days ago.
is it worth doing the OPK?

XxHOPExX - 561 days ago.
Hey I have been trying for about 7 months now and last month I used an ovulation kit and my ovulation was right on time then I had a very weird period but I got I got a neg test so I went and bought another ovulation kit and now I haven't ovulated onthe day I did last month I have used the calendar method to see when I should ovulate based on average women and I am past that could I be pregnant ??

Vikki - 622 days ago.
Has anyone used OVATEL ovulation kit and Pre-seed?

Vikki - 622 days ago.
Oh also, I have found that sometimes I ovulate right after AF! So If I'm not testing immediately I can totally miss my window!

Vikki - 622 days ago.
Babymaker39 I share your frustration with these kits. The dropper one ( like is shown on this page ) always came up inconclusive! I ended up getting the digital one. Which worked GREAT! but boy thats pricey! And it told you WHEN you were ovulatiting. I guess by doing this and charting one can best figure out what days PRIOR to ovulation to BD ASWELL as during. Gosh though, does anyone else just feel plain tired of the BD? Not that it's not nice, but doesn't it just seem that when 'it's time', all you want to do is crawl into bed and sleep?! LOL Almost fell like saying to Hubby ' ok well do your stuff and I'll try not to snore':-P Not very romantic is it! Has anyone else used the digital ones btw?

BabyMaker39 - 622 days ago.
PS I see on this site it says to take it twice each day. Hmmm. Gonna add up. $$. Also... I could have SWORN I read on another website that the OPK shows that you DID ovulate. Maybe it's a different brand, but I remember thinking why in the hell would I want to do this and it basically said that with charting you would get an idea of when you ovulate - for the following month(s). So, that is when I was getting discouraged because I am pretty irregular and I thought it's going to take some time for me to figure myself out. As it is, I just miscarried so who knows when I will ovulate after that. And prior to all this, I think I get my period once every two months.

BabyMaker39 - 622 days ago.
My LH test kits are on their way. Any advice? I think I read to take the test in the afternoon. I heard some people take it twice in a day. Good idea? Why? Anyone feeling like this method is not working for them? Why? Anyone feeling like it works great?? In reading this very page I am wondering if this is going to be waste of time. I am nearly 40 and irregular. Also.. I can't remember is the LH surge meaning the egg is about to be released, or it already released. Thanks! Does anyone know how long ovulation lasts? Like how many hours??

ajoke - 892 days ago.
rockyd i think your chances are pretty good! This will be my first time with OPK...thinking about testing at 11am and 7pm.....

rockyd - 892 days ago.
This was my first time using OPK I had a surge at 7pm on CD11. We BD at 2am that night and the next 2 daysCD 12,13. We also BD on CD 9 and CD10. At 6am that same morning after BD I used an OPK and it negative. How long will LH show in your urine? Just wondering if anyone has any idea if i possibly got pregnant. I am anxiously waiting for a missed period.

Monica - Before I had my little girl I used to ovulate on day 12 or 13 of my cycle. Now we are TTC #2 and my cycle has completely changed. I ovulate anywhere from day 14 to day 19!! This month was day 17 and I felt the same way you were...that i was not going to ovulate...but I did, just later in my cycle. When you ovulate can change from month to month, but your luteal phase should always be close to the same. Best of luck!

Waitin4Baby - 1194 days ago.
Hello Ladies- I'm so confused on how to use the OPK... My periods have never been consistant on how many days apart they are they range anywhere from 24 to 28 days...sometimes longer. So, I have no idea when to start testing!! Can anyone help me with this?

monica9 - 1229 days ago.
ladies, I am so upset! I didnt ovulate this month! This is the first time its ever happened to me. I usually start my opks on CD 10 and they slowly get darker and always on Cd 13 or 14 is when I get a dark line. I havent had ANY, not even the faintest line and I am on CD13 today. I know its the opks b/c i used the same batch last month. I have had a sinus infection since last sunday (cd8) only for it to get so bad that I had to go on antibiotics since yesterday (cd12). Could it be caused by the infection? I can't see it being the antibiotics since I have been only taking them for 24 hours. I also started robitussin this month to thin my cervical fluid. could that be it? Any advice...please!

annas-momma - 1294 days ago.
I just bought my first OPK yesterday. My cycle lasts between 28-30 days. So I test....... I am just so confused... I hope I don't mess this up! I should have just paid more to get the smiley face ones like on the commercials, LOL!

Colleen.V. - 1390 days ago.
I used a clear blue. It was a fool proof! It either had a happy face or just a circle.. I paid $55 canadian. There were 7 sticks and i never received my happy face a stared testing on my day 10. :(

Jenn.and.Pumpkin - 1397 days ago.
Yolie1220- its normal for the lines to get lighter and darcker before b/c pos. it doesn't nesassarly mean you missed the surge. How long is your normal cycle. Also If you are intrested I have a blog on my pade of opk from everyday of my cycle this last my. It was a natural cycle with bloodwork that confirmed O on cd 20 of a 28 day cycle

Yolie1220 - 1397 days ago.
Well, I started testing on Wednesday the 19th and the line seems to be getting lighter. Does that mean I missed the surge? Wednesday was only day 11 of my cycle but I just came off birth control pills, I may have ovulated sooner. I missed two pills once and got pregnant with my son in 2000!. I my husband and I had sex on day 6 and day 10 so maybe we covered it if it were an early ovulation? This is my first time TTC, the first two were surprises :)

TanMansMomma32 - 1398 days ago.
Well ladies I finally got it that POSITIVE on my OPK -- omg it felt sooo good CD 21 we will be BDing this entire weekend/week lol 2ww starts now =) (( I have never gotten a strong positive before not like this on HCG or LH wow, it feels good))

TanMansMomma32 - 1399 days ago.
I tested with the OPK again at midnight this morning and then at 845 this morning looks like my line is getting darker -- I posted pics ... how is everyone doing today?
