Click on `Change colors & background`. A page will appear with many colors & backgrounds. The first 2 options speak for themselves. Click on the color you would like to use for normal text, and click on a color you would like to use for links on your page. (Names of those who comment on your page & navigation links)

See if the textboxes change if you click on a color. If you click on the yellow for example, the text in the textbox should change to `FFFF00` which is the hexadecimal Red-Green-Blue code for yellow.

You can also type in a hexadecimal colorcode yourself if the color you would like to use isn't listed in the overview. Don't use names like `gold` or `silver`, use the hexadecimal color values like `F4C697` and `38AC95`

The third part of the page lets you pick a predefined background. If you see a background you like simply click on it once.

If you pick a bacground from the list, you don't have bother with the `Background for your adverts` option. Press the yellow `Save color settings` buttons down the bottom of the page and your new colors should be visible.

2: Use your own background

Go to the color editing page if you're not already there. Go to this bit:

The bit that reads http://....jpg is the url. It is the location of the background on the internet. In this example we are about to use a picture of our own, from our own pc. We will make it bigger so that it fits the whole screen, fade it a bit so we can still read the text on our our page and upload it to the internet so it will have its own url.

Go to http://www.snipshot.com
Click the Browse button to look for a photo on your PC.

This picture here looks nice. Click on 'Open' to open it in snipshot.

Click on the green Adjust button and a window will open.
To make the text more readable, we reduce the contrast with -66%.
We also adjust the sharpness to make it clearer.
Finally we blow the picture up to 1400 pixels wide because we want it to fill the whole screen.
Play around with the settings to customize your own background.

If all looks good, press the Save button and save it:

I am saving it in my pictures folder. I save it as `background.jpg`:

We now have a nice background for our page, saved as `background.jpg` on our own PC.

In order to show it on the profile, we have to upload it to the internet first. We use the website imageshack for this. Go to http://www.imageshack.us/

1 Click `Browse`
2 Go to the folder where you saved your background and click on the background photo
3 Click the `Open button`

Check if the filename is filled in for you and press the `Host it` button.

Scroll as far down as you can. The very last lin on the page reads `Direct link to the image`. This is your url! Copy the line from http: to .jpg. (in our example we copy http://img501.imageshack.us/img501/7821/backgroundiu5.jpg)

Go back to the color editor on your i-am-pregnant profile. Scroll down to the background edit box and paste the url you just copied from imageshack:

Scroll down to the `Background for your adverts` color picker.

Since we use a gray background, we're going to use a gray background for the 2 adverts on the page so they don't stick out so much. You can use any color you like, we prefer to use a color that blends in with the background.
Press the `Save color settings` button and see:

All done!
