Help: Adding music to your profile

This help page shows you how to add music to your profile. We use the website playlist.com on this page. If you would like to add a YouTube video, please see the help page
Making your profile, #3

Go to www.playlist.com (1).
Enter the name of a song or an artist. (2)
Click the button (3)

Pick a song of your liking frin the list. Click the play button (1) to see if the song works.
It works! Click on the + (2) to add it to your playlist.

Enter your details and press the `Create new account` button. Remember your password, you'll need it later if you want to add songs to your list

Click `Continue to my Project Playlist account ` and sign in with your username and password.

Click on the button

Click on the button one last time, we're going to add one more song.

Click the play button (1) to see if it works, click the add button (2) to add the track.

Click `Go to my playlists`

Your player is now visible. We're going to copy it.
Click with your left mous button where the cross is (1) Don't let go, drag the mouse to the cross at (2)
The buttons above and below the player will turn blue, like in the picture.
Release the left mouse button.
Click with the right mouse button where cross (3) is.

Select `Copy`.
Go to your I-am-pregnant profile editor.

Right-click where you want the player to be. (1)
Select `Paste`

That looks good!
Now delete the buttons above and below the player:
Click on a button (1) once, (see the blocks appear like in the picture) and press the `delete` key on your keyboard.
Do this for the other blocks (2-5) too.

All clean! Now click on the Save button to save your profile.

All done!

Method 2: Adding by using the HTML code

Most gadgets come with a BB code and a HTML code. Some forums use BB code, some use HTML. We use HTML code on I-am-pregnant, this allows you to add much more cool stuff than BB-code. You recognise HTML code by the < and > signs.

In this example we work with the HTML code we got from www.babystrology.com. Go to babystrology and create your own ticker. We've made it like this:

Select the complete HTML code in the box with your mouse. The background of the selected text will change color.
Click with your right mouse button on the selected text. A window will pop up:

Choose `Copy`. Go back to your I-am-pregnant profile editor.

Click the HTML button to switch to HTML-mode in your editor.

This is the HTML code of your profile.
Click with your right mouse button after the last line of HTML code. (1)
A window will pop up (2): Click `Paste`.
The code you just copied will appear.
Click the HTML button again (3) to see if it worked:

It worked! Save your profile, you're done.

Method 3: Automatic adding by using the i-am-pregnant ticker

The I-am-pregnant ticker can be added automatically, making it a good option for those that don't want to copy & paste anything. In the example below we'll add an I-am-pregnant ticker, using a picture of our own.

Go to http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/ticker/goodies.php

Click the Browse button to find a picture on your PC

Click on the photo you want to use. Make sure it's a .jpg photo. The size should be smaller than 3 or 4MB. The one from this example is a .jpg, and its size is 2.17MB, so it qualifies.
Click the `Open` button.

Click the `Upload this photo` button. It is a big photo, so it will take about 30 seconds before something happens.

It worked!
Note I: If you see some errors and only a black picture instead of your photo, you uploaded a photo which is too big. You can make it smaller with many programs. I usually use MS Paint (Start > All programs > Accesories > Paint) You can also use an online photo editor, such as www.snipshot.com.
Note II: Your picture will be automatically scaled to fit the ticker. We scale it to 177 pixels wide and 77 pixels high. If you know how to edit photos you may want to uplaod a photo with this hight-width ratio for the best quality.

Enter your due date, and select the photo you've uploaded

Scroll down the page and click on `Show the code`.

If you click the `Add now`button this ticker will be added automatically to your page. You don't have to copy and paste any codes if you do it this way.
