Help: Solving picture problems
There is a memory limit when you want to upload pictures from your pc to the website.
This limit depends on the quality of the picture you want to add.
If you upload a picture which is too big, you will only see a black photo! (and some errors)
When uploading doesn't work for you please try this:
On windows machines: Open MS Paint:
Start > All programs > Accesories > Paint (See the pictures below.)
MS Paint should now open.
Click on File > Open to open your photo. In our example we use this snowtruck:
Click on the picture and click the Open button.
Click on `image` and click on `Resize/Skew`.
Set the Vertical and Horizontal fields to 40. Click on the OK button.
Your picture is already a lot smaller. Click on File and click on `Save as ...`
1 - Enter a filename. MAKE SURE it ends with
.jpg (including the dot)
2 - Choose the file type. Make sure it is JPG/JPEG
3- Click on the Save button.
All done! In our exmaple the file went from 3.24MB to 104kB. (over 30 times smaller)
Let's see if we can add it to our photobook:
Go to your profile and click on `Add/edit photos `.
1- Click `Browse`
2 - Find the picture you just saved and click on it once
3 - Click the `Open button`
1 - Make sure the file name field isn't empty.
2 - Click the `Upload photo` button .
It worked! Enter a title and a description to add it to your photobook.
