• I probably have a silly question being my first pregnancy and all. I’m not sure what mild pains are normal and what the bad pressure feels like and where you feel it. Any advice? Thanks gals doc appt tomorrow.

  • Thanks pregnantnprayin I’ve read up them alittle. I knew risk for infection but never knew the risk grew as the pregnancy does. I know she’s viable now but after my sister lost one of hers at 25 weeks I’m still stressed about it but I got my steroid shots for the past two days which is why I’m up at 6 in the morning lol. I am getting checked…[Read more]

  • Moderate I feel is you can get up to pee or have a quick shower. You can get up to get food quickly but don’t make something that’ll take awhile. Other than that stay horizontal. 🙂 but ask your doc if you can do more.

  • I’ve been having a few contractions a day and constant irritability. They seem to not be concerned. How often do people have bh contractions? I’m just worried these are constantly putting pressure on my cervix but again the nurses are saying its nothing to worry about.

  • I’m going home on bedrest. No more hospital. 5 weeks of hell and I’m finally free. Thank you lord. I was losing my mind.

  • Hi Rossa,
Id be going for a week its a nine hour trip. My cervix isn’t that bad off at the moment so I’m thinking it’ll be fine just gotta rest once I get there. And it is my baby shower my mom and sister are throwing for me so I obviously wanna go :o)

  • Thanks very much everyone for all the advice. Yes id definitely be reclined during the trip. I’m getting the progesterone shot too so once I talk to the doc Tuesday ill make an official decision. But I agree id never forgive myself if something happened. I appreciate everything and ill keep everyone updated. This baby is number 1 and actually…[Read more]

  • Oh and just as a side note bedrest= acid reflux it seems. Anybody have a good way of curing that? Its horrible. Oh and one other thing. When I do get up quickly for a bathroom break I feel like there’s alittle pressure all around the ovary spots and below my bump. I’m assuming its gas pains or the baby growing. Anybody feel that sometimes?

  • Thanks charli and thuy. Ill try both of those. Acid reflux is the most annoying thing mostly on bedrest. Its all you can think about when you’re laying here. texting comments on this site from my phone keeps me alittle entertained as well as Mckayla kicking me, thuy. Amazing feeling. The trip still isn’t guaranteed. I’m going to do what the doc…[Read more]

  • Hey crystals,
I’ve only been on modified bedrest for a week and a half. There so many loose ends to tie up when this happens so abruptly that people don’t realizw us mommies to be have to go through. The acid reflux and headaches are killers along with constipation. Bedrest is a lovely thing let me tell ya. I have at least 13 weeks left to go.…[Read more]

  • Oh and ps the olympics will be burning up my dvr. That’ll be a lifesaver for bedrest :o)

  • Crystalz- I had 2 leep procedures done. I’ve heard after that labor could go one of two ways. Either early premature delivery or else opposite end your cervix will basically refuse to dilate. Id much rather choose the second one. My cervix was last measured at 2.5 with a doc appt tomorrow. 25% so you are less than 2 is that right? Good luck and congrats.

  • Congrats thuy and crystalz sorry to hear about your lose. Just rest up sounds like this one is going your way so far. Alittle bedrest is worth a healthy baby. My doc saw me today and I’m staing at 2.6 for the past couple weeks. I’m choosing to go on the trip to texas but I bought the leggings and my legs are propped up while drinking lots of…[Read more]

  • One day- I was put on bedrest january 13th and ever since my bf drove me to the doc appts. He never missed one the entire time I was pregnant (btw it sucks saying was…makes me wanna cry even after all the bs us girls gotta go through with throwing up on top of acid reflux AND bedrest) I just drove for the first time yesterday (two weeks after…[Read more]

One day, do twins run in your family? They do in mine and my sister had twins. I told her she stole it from me hehe. I’m still wanting twins but if I’m having problems carrying one baby this long I’m scared to carry two. She lost one of hers bc they were born at 25 weeks. Well I hope you get two but one will be wonderful as well. Rest up 🙂

I would think even if nothing changes you’ll be put in the hospital but it depends on the doctor. Mine is very proactive and I would of probably been fine at home on bedrest since I don’t have kiddies. If the doc thinks you’re ok at home id tell them you’d rather be on bedrest in the hospital honestly. You said so yourself you can’t do it even one…[Read more]
