Laura I'm thinking about naming my son this, I think it's distinguished Cortney For the longest time(8 yrs actually) I have loved the name Emerson for a girl. Here I am having a girl and using the name. A lot of people love it, some don't and say its a boys name. To me its a unisex name. Just like the name Erin(Aaron), Rian(Ryan) etc. This is the new era of unisex names. :) Raylene I think it is a unisex name...i named my daughter Emmersyn as you can see i just spelt it differently so it looked more feminine.
