Everyone tries to pronounce it as Delia or Dahlia....like they don't have the time to read it and see it has 2 L's in the name

i was one of 7 kids all with names starting with d but mine is the only odd and mispronounce even my english teacher in 8th grade could not say it she said my name was della and my mom spelled my name wrong so i just go by dee even my grandmother didn't know how to say it she came up with the orginal nickname of deedeejoy then it got smaller through the years when i had my children i gave them names people could pronounce and not go through what i did. it is very rare i use my real name
