Well, in my final year of school in my literature class there were 13 (!!) Janes, so when the teacher asked for 'Jane' to answer the question, I kept my head down and some other Jane was bound to answer!!

With a common name like Jane for my age group, if you take on your husband's surname when you get married, you can miss out on opportunities if people read/hear about Jane so and so, and not realise it is the Jane they know.

Not very many people my age are named Jane. I was the only one in my school...always.
