I often have to say my name more then one time, they understand Lydie, Lila or Linda for example. Lots of people (including my grandmother, haha) writing my name wrong; Instead of the y they use i; Lidia.

The worst thing about being called Lydia is the things it rhymes with (chlamydia is a good expample), luckly I have only encountered this at University and then people are just joking. The rhyming can be a good thing too though, builds sense of humor! haha
