It signifies a girl from the very beginning. It has a nice ring to it. It is a guaranteed compliment. I have grown to love the nickname Tori.

For some reason, people call you Veronica. As a young girl you are definitley going to be called Vicky, but when you get older it seems childish. I could never understand how someone could spell it wrong. Victor is about the worst insult people could conjur for the name, which isn't that bad.

Though about this a lot. I think a name really moulds a person. It is a part of the identy that we have grown into. It would have been pretty different in all aspects to be called or known by any other name.

This Queen Victoria stuff is a little overrated. Personally, she has some neat points to add to the history of the name - but she did only bathe 2 times in her life. Not very cool. I prefer the true meaning of the name - Victorious/Conquerer. I have both of those attributes. Born premature and Victorious, and conquerer of any task that I take on!
