   People mistake it for Bernice. I prefer my own name. I go by Bea for the reason that if someone is calling me Bernice I won't answer so i ask to be called Bea instead

I also used to hate my name when I was about 9 but it was okay because I had the nickname Bea but now I love my name but everyone still continues to call me by the name I used to prefer.

   I would love to be called Alexis because then I could also have the nickname Lexi or Lex.
