when i was in kindergarten, the teacher made me switch pronunciation from Ava to EEva she said b.c. we were in Kindergarten, it will be too hard for the other kids to learn the correct way to sound out words with my name being spelled Eva & being pronounced Ava. i was so confused for a while, when the teacher would call my name as EEva, i wouldnt answer b.c i didnt no she was talking to me. it took a while to get used to the name swich & i hated every moment of being EEva soo much. I would go home and my parents would call me Ava & friends would make a big deal about it.
