My name is Inez, it was given to me by my german parents, over the name Ingrid. I now like having such an uncommon, unique name. But growing up as a child, name calling was not uncommon. People often as me to repeat my name after i tell them it. They also ask the nationality of it. I often have to go into history. And its a good conversation starter. Inez I am from Papua New Guinea but my maternal grandfather is Maltese, and he named me after his younger sister. I'm glad that he named me as through my name I have that historic link to my mother's people.
It is a very unique name in our country and I usually get asked to repeat my name or spell it. Then the next question is usually it's origin and how I got it, so it' always good talking about my family background. PilarYanet I love this name. I am going to give my future daughter this name. :)
