Either the nicknames or the story book character! Everyone thinks I'm tough then. And for nicknames I have Maddy, Mad, and Madds.

People say it wrong a lot. They pronounce the LINE as LYN. Which is not how it's pronounced. That would be Madelyn. Or how many Maddy's there are. I always think someone's calling my name!

It would either be Eleanor or Dasiy. My mother liked them all!

Madeline is an awesome name! Just please! Please don't name your kid that then pronounce it Madelyn. It's LINE people! Basically all the baby name sites say that!

Madeline is pretty versatile when it comes to nicknaming. When I feel girly I can be Madi and when I feel a bit more edgy I can be Mad.

It doesnt relate to my Mexican half at all! My own grandpa cannot pronounce it. I end up being called Mary :(

I would probably go with Mildred. Its old fashioned and elegantly makes a statement.

Its uncommon for my race (Asian) and I like having 'Maddi' or 'Lin' as nicknames

Alot of people are daft and believe that the 'e' is not silent and therefore should be pronounced 'Mad-a-line' instead of 'Mad-a-lin'. Also, alot of supposedly witty 'Madeline made a line' puns.

I dont know. How am I supposed to know if my life would be different if my name was different if I cannot go back in time and convince my parents to not name me Madeline. Psychically from the womb.

Good to stand out if you're asian. Although it gets old fast when theres another Madeline near you, and you turn around thinking youre being called.
