Im 11 weeks preg. I haven`t ever been so hungry before, even with my first pregnancy. I`ll eat breakfast then shortly later Im hungry again, maybe an hour later. I try not to eat, but if I dont it`s like I start to feel sick or shaky or something. IDK. So then I eat. Later again I get hungry. Just wondering If its because Im pregnant or maybe something else? But I wouldn`t know why else. Plus too I cant be eating all the time since im not suppose to gain too much weight, becuase im a bit overweight. Anyone feel like this??
you should be eating 6 to 8 small meals a day even if you do eat breakfast and then an hour later you eat a snack see if you can eat some fruit or granola or yougart. Just keep it healthy. I was in love with the fruit and yougart parfait’s from mcdonalds. they are cheap and i consider them better than chips or something.
i have been experiencing the same thing this entire pregnancy. it’s subsided a little lately, but up until i was 37 weeks i felt like i was constantly eating. i would wake up at 5am, eat breakfast (2-3 eggs, 2-3 pieces of toast, orange juice, several pieces of cheese, half a tomato), and by the time i got to work (8:00) i was starving, it was like i didnt even eat! my recommendation is to listen to your body. try to eat healthy and small meals (i would bring plenty of healthy snacks to work like fruit, veggies, etc) and try and stay away from the junk. i gained 37 lbs for this pregnancy, maybe more since i’m not sure what my prepreggo weight was, which is considered a lot for someone with my BMI (normal). my midwife never commented on my weight gain so i don’t worry about. take care!
Oh, and lots of protein helps too. I’m eating tons of rice and beans this pregnancy
Drink lots of water and fruits and veggies, but also listen to your body. If you are feeling hungry than your body is telling you to eat. I was sick all my first trimester, but now that I’m 20 weeks along and the m/s is gone I’m hungry all the time too, yum!!!
Make sure you are eating fruits and veggies, or drinking a big glass of water when you start getting hungry. I was like this too, and now at 29 weeks, I eat 3 – 4 times a day.. but small meals through the course of the day. Sometimes even taking your vitamin through the middle of the day will help.
Oh and I am VERY overweight, and I ate when I was hungry, I am 32 weeks and I’ve gained 8 lbs. Don’t be so worried about weight gain when you are pregnant.
it is normal. I did the SAME thing.. and then it slacked off, now at 32 weeks (started back around 29 weeks) I feel like I can NOT get full. Its just a part of it lol
I’m 11 weeks tomorrow & I’m hungry all the time too. It’s usually a short time after a meal that I’m hungry but if I skip say breakfast then I don’t get too hungry until 1 or so. I say eat when you’re hungry your little one is trying to tell you! Stick to healthy snacks if you don’t want to gain too much eat cheese & apple or grapes etc.
eat lots of protein with every big meal you have, and throughout the day as your snacks. Almonds, yogurt, cottage cheese, rotisere chicken (cold or hot!), lunch meats (if you are willing), eggs-hard boiled, scrambled etc, peanut butter and apples or celery, high protein cereals. Seriously if I don’t eat protein with every meal I am instantly hungry an hour later, pregnant or not. Like this morning I had a bagel with cream cheese, so just a *little* protein, and A LOT of calories, I was hungry INSTANTLY.
The weakness factor, especially if u r dizzy or shaky could be low blood pressure – i had this, make sure ur drinking LOTS of fluid, and rather than eating non stop, try mixing half juice with half water… takes the craving taste away at least for a little while.
Buy fruits and veggies and EAT! lol.. but talk about it to your doctor, maybe a blood test is needed to make sure everything is ok
dont worry, just eat when you feel you need too, I have that too if i dont eat every couple hours i start getting weak….it is pregnancy, especially if you never had it happen before. Seriously dont worry about weight now….it is not the time. Take care of yourself and eat when you are hungry…worry about the weight later!
I’m almost 24 weeks and I have to eat every 1.5-2 hours. I just try to eat healthy things. Plus I am up early at like 6am, I eat again @ 8:30 before I leave for work, by the time I get to work I am hungry again. I eat like 3 times before it’s technically “lunch time” Just try to carry around snacks (trail mix, fruit, crackers, etc) So when you start to feel hungry you won’t grab the first bad thing you see. Also try drinking more water throughout the day. Sometimes when we think we’re hungry we may actually be thirsty…
