You are now in the third trimester, and last, of your pregnancy! Your baby's crown-to-rump length is about 9.6 inches and your baby's total length is approximately 15.3 inches! Your baby now weighs about 2 pounds 3 ounces and is going to grow rapidly during this last trimester! Your uterus is about 2.8 inches above your bellybutton.
If your baby were born now, it would have an 85% chance of surviving. Even though your baby is still not fully developed, she would be well within the limits of premature viability. You still have approximately 13 weeks left of your pregnancy, and during this time your baby must continue to grow and develop. If your baby was born at this time, she would have several complications that would require special attention. Because babies do not have adequate amounts of fat at this time, your baby would have to be kept inside of an incubator for warmth. Because the air sacs in your baby's lungs do not yet have surfactant, she would require an artificial respirator. Your baby's brain, liver and immune system still need to develop more also.
Make sure you take good care of your teeth. So-called `pregnancy gingivitis` affects most pregnant women to some degree, and generally occurs in the second trimester. If you already have gingivitis, the condition is likely to worsen during pregnancy.

There is a girl at my work named Cassidy, which i think is cute

I like Corrine, but my husband has a first cousin named that. And I always loved the name Chloe, I'm just afraid there will be too many with that name. I like names that are sort of traditional but also ones that you don't hear often. My Daughter's name is Lydia Dawn Carter.

loribb do u like Corinne or Corrina?
Shon - 6 hours ago
Celeste Carter, I think it sounds cute!!! But? What kind of middle name would go with it, idk!!!!
loribb - 6.8 hours ago
Shon: I like the name Celeste, but I'm not too sure on how it sounds with our last name, Carter.

Cailet - obvs i love the name Parker...hehe.
My 6 yr old son is Parker. And I haven't met very many Parker's. If he had been a girl, I was still going to name him that.
Cailet - 7.7 hours ago
jwaters my cousin's son's name is Weston, so that's out for us. We see them too often so it would be weird to have two of them. It is a cute name though!
jwaters - 7.7 hours ago
loribb: i love collette, i also love josette....I have a friend with a daughter named josette and they call her josie, so cute
Shon - 7.9 hours ago
Loribb: I think Collette is a pretty name!! Or even Celeste is a cute name!!!
loribb - 9.1 hours ago
What do you all think of the name 'Collette'? Do you have any other suggestions for a C name for a girl?
taf - 14 hours ago
On names, we have chosen Cillian Sean for a boy and Ava Leigh for a girl! We had names picked and decided on by about 10 weeks, same on the last pregnancy!

The one i am really gravitating towards is Dominick but my hubby not so much.. I saw a couple of you said Donavon I like that. Thanks ladies, My hubby is taking the computer for the weekend :( so Ill see you in a few days and I will be thinking of some more names for you. Have a happy forth!!! :)

Kris - What about Donavan?
jwaters - 20.9 hours ago
Cailet--my hubby loves the name Wesley too, but I think it sounds kinda girly? We found one compromise that your husband might like: Weston. Cute, different, and can be shortened to Wes, so it is a contender for us!
Cailet - 21.3 hours ago
I like Jared for a J name but hubby won't agree. He's leaning towards Parker or Wesley. One of the older kids heard us talking about names and now she's telling everyone that we're naming the baby Parker, even though we haven't picked one!

brandims...I love both of those names :) sounds like your off to a great start!

On the name thing. My BF and I are having such a hard time trying to even come up with a middle name. So its not that we cant agree on one we cant come up with any lol. For first names we have Ava for a girl and Gavin for a boy. Our poor child may not get a middle name at all lol.

No name for us either - we haven't been able to agree and need to come up with a boy and girl since we don't know what we're having. I picked out the ones I like and am just hoping we'll be at the hospital and desperate for a name so my husband will just go with what I picked ;)

meerkat-I love the name Evie...that isn't a common name here at all. OOOOH I wish I could steal that one...lol.
meerkat - 1 days ago
elliesmom - believe it or not 'Dixon' is my maiden name!...it was strange to see it written here as a first name, I don't think it's a hugely common surname here in the UK...It seems as though you have millions of names to choose from in the US, I haven't heard of half the ones people are mentioning on this site LOL! we're sticking with classic names, Harry is 16 months old & if the next is a boy then he'll be Edward & a girl will be Evie...
elliesmom - 1 days ago
me too....but it's my hubby's father's name and he passed away 10 years ago. It is actually really important for that name to be in there. I just hope my little guy doesnt become a porn star. LOL

I got one for you elliesmom-
Coffee In Bed: A sweet little boy surprised his grandmother one morning and brought her a cup of coffee. He made it himself and was so proud. He anxiously awaited to hear the verdict on the quality of the coffee. The grandmother had never in her life had such a bad cup of coffee, and as she forced down the last sip she noticed three of those little green army guys in the bottom of the cup. She asked, 'Honey, why would three little green army guys be in the bottom of my cup?' Her grandson replied, 'You know grandma, it's like on TV... ' The best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup.''

Anyone else here feel weird or woozy about 2 hrs or so after drinking your glucose solution? Now I see why people hate taking that. I became a bit sweaty and woozy, but didn't get the shakes or anything. Felt better after I ate. I hadn't had much food in my system for the last 2 days anyway since I had a tooth taken out. I hope I pass because I don't intend on going through that again.

kickboxer-that is amazing that they all start with D. What are the chances that all the spouces would start with a D too...or was that on purpose...LOL

For those of you who got their blood test results back and are worrying about anaemia, it is OK to have a low red blood cell count, even under the normal limit. This is because we have so much more blood flowing around (or not in my case, getting stuck in varicose veins!), so everything is more diluted. If it is not way under the limit, it's just normal. The ranges they give don't apply to us.

I hope you all have a good 4th!! We are going camping for the weekend & will be back in week 28. I hope everyone is doing great & has a safe weekend!!

1st baby on the way-411 - 2 days ago
Thanks everyone for your advice and opinion on my middle name situation-I think we may go with Brenna Lynn-Marie Staples (hubby likes the hyphen) but initials would be BLS instead of BLMS.
I also want to say congrats on everyone who heard back from there glucose test and passed! One less thing for you to worry about WHEW! Thanks again everyone!!

Ellies - My daughter talks to her little brother all the time, and he loves it. Any time he hears her voice, he starts to dance!
As far as the name thing, my husband has four names (no hyphen), as the tradition in his family is boys get four, girls get three (picking up the fourth at marriage, as I did). If asked he either puts both initials or just the first middle initial if pressed. Our little boy will have four names as well, and the middle ones are what we are working on right now.
Shellie77 - 2 days ago
1st - No he doesnt have a hyphen, and we arent using on on our son either :)
