You may feel as if you have been pregnant forever at this point. It might be hard to imagine being pregnant for another ten weeks, but your baby still has a lot of growing and developing to do! By this time, your baby's crown-to-rump length is a little over 10.8 inches and the total length of your baby is about 17 inches! Your baby weighs about 3 pounds now. Your uterus can be felt about 4 inches above your bellybutton. Your uterus, baby, placenta and the amount of fluid will get larger over the next ten weeks. You should be gaining about a pound a week at this time.

Because you are getting larger, you are probably becoming slower and clumsier. You should try to be careful to avoid dangerous falls. Good posture when sitting and standing can help you feel better during your pregnancy. You also should be rolling over on your side to get up after lying down because your muscles have stretched to accommodate your growing uterus.

Even though your baby is cushioned by the amniotic fluid, she can feel and respond to pain. Your baby now does `practice breathing` to get ready for life outside of your womb. If you have an ultrasound at this time, you will be able to see this. If your baby swallows amniotic fluid down the wrong passage, she will still get hiccups that are noticeable by you. If your baby were born at this time, she would be able to keep herself warm.

The skin begins to smoothen as fat deposits accumulate underneath. The fat insulates and is an energy source.

Also to day i went to target and got some travel size things for my over night bag when the big day comes!!! I hopes this helps some of you---I picked up facial wash, deodoratn, antibacterial hand wipes for my guest, pads, lotion, and solution for my contats---i hate having alot of stuff with me, i feel less anxiety knowing that everything is packed in one little bag

spreading nose is a preggy symptom usually because our face gets puffy/chubby and of course that effects our nose. I have heard of a spreading nose and I know for me I never realize how chubby my face gets when im pregnant until I look back at preggy pics of myself after I have lost all my weight... TO me face weight gain is my biggest peeve with pregnancy. But the 'glow'... I dont understand what that even means...

I hear ya! My LO is under my ribs at this very moment and i almost took a picture earlier..... my stomach was completely lopsided like he was curled up in a ball on my right side, it was almost disturbing looking. The left side of my tummy was almost flat! And, of course, his feet were shoved up under my ribs then too. I love feeling him and know I will miss it so much, but I can't wait to have him here and snuggle him!

Aint that the truth!!! No matter how hard some of them may try, men can NOT possibly understand! I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for pregnant women, but honestly until I got pregnant...I had NO CLUE what us women go through!! It is a beautiful, amazing gift, I get that (I don't want to sound all negative) but It's not fun! The only thing about pregnancy that I enjoy is feeling the little one move around in there.. but even that starts to get to you when you're getting kicked in the ribs!

I'm sorry you are uncomfortable, don't let what he said get to you. I have a funny story about being pregnant and having to chase after a little one. My oldest, Samantha, was 3 when my youngest daughter,Emma, was born. Emma was born in summer and ice cream trucks would drive through our neighborhood a couple times a day. Samantha absolutely loved getting ice cream from them. One day I am laying on the couch and Samantha heard the music from the ice cream truck.. she unlocked the front door and was out and running down the sidewalk before I could even get off the couch. I chased her but caught up to her only when i reached the ice cream truck where she was standing. He yelled at me and told me to watch my child better. I was 9 MONTHS PREGNANT!!! I was just seconds behind her. i was dilated to 3 centimeters with the baby's head engaged for 3 weeks for god's sake. All I could do was laugh! Needless to say, i didn't buy her ice cream on that particular instance, and I installed a latch at the top of the door that she couldn't reach haha!

Either way, I would tell your husband that he needs to talk to his daddy about keeping his mouth shut. That wasn't an appropriate comment. He should have thought more for your feelings, but I'm sure in the past when he went to weddings his wife took care of the kids and it wasn't a big deal to him to have the kids there. Yea week 30!! I am so sick of being prego for real. I can't pick things up as easily and with a 7 yr old, 3 cats and 3 dogs there is always something I need to pick up! I have to use my toes! Mostly I can't wait to give birth so the morning sickness goes away! I don't really sleep much and if I nap during the day I'm up all night. but I am laughing cause as I'm typing he's kicking my arm on my belly and my hand keeps moving to the wrong keys. Hi Ladies! Just needing to vent... been having a few probs with the expectent bub, the usual, everything hurts, low iron, high blood pressure, pre-natal depression, been told by the docs that I need to take it easy cause bubs already in position to be born, which is hard with a 2yr old! We have my sister-in-laws wedding a week before X-mas and decided to leave our daughter with my parents as my husband is the mc, so it will be up to me to chase her around all night, which I am finding impossible to do at the moment. Told the father-in-law last night about this and he says that all children should be involved in weddings, and if I can't handle kids, then I shouldn't have had any!! Both these babies weren't planned and were miracle babies cause I was told I couldn't have any, but he has made me feel guilty for having children! Do I have everyright to be 'devasted' by that comment? Or am I over reacting?? I want to say something to my mother-in-law about it... or should I keep quiet?? Thanks for listening!

im 30 wks today... excited - but irritated so much lately! My 2 yr old is driving me nuts and my doctor sucks - I still havnt had an ultrasound where they do the measurements of the baby yet! I had only 1 ultrasound with this baby to find out the sex? How do i know if she is ok??? UGH!

I waited so long to get pregnant, and expect this will be my only one, that I'm finding it pretty easy to just enjoy where I am each day. It's still going really fast, though. cantwait, I personally feel it's very important to have a dr I can depend on. If he doesn't have time for you now, will he have time when you go into labor? If I were you, I'd go to the other dr. Your dr can transfer your records, scans etc, so your new dr can catch up.

NEED YOUR OPINION MOMMIES: SO, I have been going to my OBGYN for about 6 years now. This is my first pregnancy. Well, he has cancelled about 5 appointments for my last 2 scheduled prenatal appointments. I am on an every 2 week rotation now. Well, they called and cancelled again today, but won't take my call to try to reschedule until Monday. ALSO, I loved my Dr, but he is in such a hurry these days and gets a little aggrivated if my hubby or I have questions to ask. He is wanting to be in and right out of the room! I am wanting to switch to another OBGYN that I have been to and I LOVED HER! I know several people that go to her and have no complaints and she was great when I went! SO, is it too late in the game to switch over?????

So was suppposed to go to the dr's at 11:30am today and at 10am got a call that he had to reschedule to go deliver another baby!! so needless to say I have to wait till tue at 9am now :( I so want to talk to the dr about getting me out early from work due to stress at the job!! If not I will have to wait til at least Dec 21st to start my Maternity leave!! I am so done with being pregnant...I so hope I can give birth at 36-37 weeks which would be nice..a christmas baby!!!

Got to see my boy today! @ 30w 3d, Emmett is 3 lbs 3 oz. :) He's also head down, with buns tucked up into my ribs. My placenta has moved up out of the way -- yessss! -- and, much to my surprise, we got to see 4D today! I didn't know that was part of the scan! I'm so glad I decided to get a DVD, so I can send it to my mom. Happy day today!

OK, so I had my doctor appointment this morning, and I was put on steroids for my asthma because I was going through a whole inhaler in 2 weeks.... So than she checked my lil man to see how everything is, he was really active, my tummy was jumping the whole time.. it was so cute!!! Soooooo I told her i been having contractions everyday, and that some of them are really painful, she said it was normal, but she was going to check my cervix anyway.. Soooooooo turns out I'm dilated 1cm!!! They got me coming in next week to see if I dilated anymore, which hopefully, I wont be!!! So we will see...

Had my 3D/4D today also. My little man liked his hand in the way. So not that great of shots and this was my 2nd time also. He did give us 'The Finger' one time and the 'Peace Sign' but that was it. I think he has full eyelashes because they were showing up so well on the images.

Today is going by too slow at work. My back is killing me! Every single part of my belly feels tight. Normally, some area of it is soft. I can't tell where or how she's laying because the it feels like she's taking up the whole space in there. Not that it's stopped her from kicking the hell out of my ribs. I'm trying to eat smaller meals but it doesn't seem to be working. I get too hungry! I feel so exhausted. Can't wait to crawl into bed... still 4 hours left to go. *sigh*

Hi all good to be in week 30! I think baby flipped on me. I know baby had his/her head down 2 days ago and yesterday i didnt feel baby move much at all. Now baby is hiccuping up at top instead of really low, and no kicking into my ribs. At least it doesnt matter which way baby is for me. I am getting nervous about meeting the surgeon though.
