katkatkat: I also use cloth nappies with my 1.5 year old. We have been using it since he was 2 weeks old and it works great! I use vinegar in the soaking water, it's antibacterial too and extremely cheap. I don't only think about the amount of money I spared during the last 1.5 year, but the amount of rubbish which I DIDN'T produce during this time. (about a whole mountain of the worst kind of rubbish...) So think about the environment too in which your kids have to live in the future.
