23-9-2009 - Things are officially over. o.k. and getting better. My mood while writing this blog:
o.k. and getting better.

Well, i had my d&c on monday. I didnt really know what to expect, ive had surguries before i knew what to expect as far as that goes but i didnt know what to expect emotionally. We got there really early in the morning, and they set me up. I was ok until everyone kept coming in and asking what i was there for. I had the best anesthesiologist ever, when he asked me what meds i was taking and i told him; he asked me about my concept dha and i told him im not taking it anymore because its a pre-natal and he apologized. He was the only one who seemed to understand that i wasnt there for just any old "procedure". I started crying when they wheeled me into the operating room and i got up on the bed and as i was laying there i started bawling, i was so upset. Can you believe that the anesthesiologist rubbed my head, he must be a father because he was the only hospital employee that seemed to understand that i was hurting. I woke up in recovery crying, bawling, i was hysterical. They gave me morphine and toradol because they thought i was in pain my blood pressure was really high, i had like 5 ppl telling me i need to calm down. So anyway i saw my hubby and started crying again. I have the best mother in law ever, she took my daughter the night before, and came to the hospital while my sis n law watched my daughter and then she kept my daughter for another night till yesterday evening. I am so blessed to have the family i have. I am so sorry for any girls who have ever had a loss, i have a new respect for what youve gone through. We wont be ttc for awhile again, dh and i both agree that things happen for a reason.

:0( That made me cry! I'm greatful only that you had an understanding anestesiologist... Wow. What a guy! I'm so sorry for the loss. I agree, things happen for a reason, both those of us who aren't getting BFPs and those who lose unfortuanately. We won't understand until enough time has passed to figure it out... but I am glad that your family has been supportive for you. Take all the time you guys need to get better. :0( We're all thinking of you guys! *Hugs to you all*

Amanda, when you are ready to try again (if that is your decision) we are here... in between - we are here too - just drop a line if you ever need to talk. Sometimes getting it out in words helps the healing. ((HUG)) I am glad at least the anesthesiologist showed you some tlc in the process... Dr.s need empathy lessons!
