18-4-2008 - First KICKS!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Crying tears of JOY!

Yesterday (17apr08) i felt my baby KICK for the first time!! Not just the flutters i've felt here and there since week 10, but an ACTUAL KICK!!

I was sorta slouched/hunched over at my desk, typing, and I must've been putting pressure on him, because I felt this sorta .....TWITCH from inside my belly. It was very subtle, but it made me stop and I said, "OH!" lol it sorta surprised me. At first I thought "It couldnt be" then i email my mom and told her what happened. She said, "What did it feel like?" and I told her, "A twitch, or a bubble popping" and she said "Yup, that was it!" I was so excited! I went back to my desk, and absent-mindedly sat sorta the same way, putting pressure on my belly, and sure enough I felt him AGAIN! About 3 more times, and every time it was in the areas where my uterus covers. It was so Amazing. I had a smile on my face ALL day!!

Then I was at home, and tried to make him do it again by poking at my belly....nothing. Did the same thing laying on my back and poking.....nothing. So i leaned forward and sat that way for a few minutes, and sure enough, i not only felt him kick, but i think i felt him ROLL!

I think all this time he was trying to say, "MOVE, MOMMY!!!" lol

Its like NOTHING I've ever felt before, that's how i KNOW it was the baby. I called my hubby to tell him, and i was so happy i started crying! lol (stupid hormones! :) I cant wait until its strong enough for him to feel!

And i also cant wait until all of YOU start feeling it....its the most beautiful feeling you've ever felt, and i'm sure you'll cry too! lol
