20-11-2008 - My Dr. Appointment - 15 Weeks

My mood while writing this blog: Very Pleased

Well Well Well!! My doctor's appointment went very well yesterday and I couldn't be more happy. Well, maybe a little more happy if we would have been able to find out the sex of the baby? We tried, but we couldn't get a good view from underneath and the cord was laying across his/her lap. My midwife first pulled out the doppler and listened to the awesome heart beating at 153 bpm!! Before she found the heartbeat, she asked me if I heard the thumping and I said yes? She said that is your baby kicking my doppler! Too Cute! Then, she said that she knew we had an u/s last time, but she was just gonna peak at our little one so we could see how much he/she had grown. It was so amazing! The baby was at first doing head stands and then flipped around for us and started either boxing or cheering (depending on the gender) :-) So, everything is going well and we pray that it will continue to go so well for the next 5 months! The appointment was great and reassuring, but I am sure that in about 2 weeks I will be ready for another appointment to check on my little one.

Also, we did the blood test for testing of down syndrome, spinabifida, and something else? I am not sure how long it takes to get those results, but they may just wait and discuss at my next appointment on Dec.17th?
