12-12-2008 - Baby Movements

My mood while writing this blog: Pleasant

Well, last night was a pretty exciting night for myself and my husband. As I was laying down about to go to bed, I noticed that the baby was moving around. I placed my hand on my tummy to see if I could feel anything on the outside and "bump!" As my baby was kicking around I was actually able to feel it on the outside too instead of just the inside. So, right away I told my husband to come next to me and place his hand on my tummy. He was afraid to press down a little cause he thought he would hurt the baby, but I placed my hand on top of his and applied a little pressure. Sure enough, as soon as I felt the movement inside, he looked at me with the biggest grin! At first, he was like you did that didn't you and I was like yeah right. Do you think I can control little parts of my stomach to jump at different times???? Then he felt a couple more kicks and he was just amazed. I am excited that he will be able to participate more in this pregnancy now. I suspect that he will probably be placing his hand on my stomach just about every night before we go to bed now!

Can you believe it? We are almost 1/2 way done now. I hope to hear exciting kicking stories from everyone soon if you haven't already given us one! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with everyone and your growing babies!
