10-3-2009 - AFI Levels Low Again

My mood while writing this blog: Nervous and Sad

So, I had my doctor's appointment along with u/s today to check my amniotic fluid levels and the results were not good :-( My levels were lower than ever measuring between 7-8 cm. The doctor asked me if I was leaking, but honestly I am not sure at all. I really hope that I am leaking so that it is something that is fixable on my end. They did a non-stress test on the baby and she was just fine. They said everything looked great there. I will have a non-stress test twice a week until my next u/s at which they will measure the fluid levels again. Until then, I am tripling my water in-take. It is a good thing that I like water and that I was used to drinking mainly water before this pregnancy.

So, I am very scared right now and just hope that Harleigh's kidneys are doing their job. I feel bad that I may be leaking and causing her not to have much room, but I would rather it be me causing the problem than her kidneys. As long as she is healthy, I guess that is all that matters.

I just ask that you ladies will keep me in your prayers and help me through this scary time. Again, the doctors didnt seem too worried, just said they will take extra precaution with the tests and stuff. So, hopefully everything will be fine and we will have a healthy baby girl in the next few weeks!
