26-7-2009 - 7 weeks

Today is week 7. Just week 7. It feels like Ive been pregnant for weeks!! Wait, I have. I mean I feel like Ive been pregnant for ever and time is standing still. My first appt isnt until aug 24th. I'll be 12 weeks by then. I just found out today that my OB doesnt do an US or even a fundus measurement until the NEXT appt. Thats 17weeks. So my first US will also be the one that determines the sex. Aint that some shit! I dont know this OB, and I'm sure I wont see him anyways, moreso his midwife. Everyone says thats she wonderful, I just like having my doctor for this sort of thing! I mean, its not like I'm being tereated for a cold! Anyways, its week 7 and I think my hormones are all out of shape. That would be why I'm griping to absolutely no one on the computer. I need to sleep- come on 715!

It is a long haul isn't it? I liked having an OB too when I was doing IVF but I find the public system ok too. Just a little worried about sitting in a hospital waiting room for two hrs with swine flu going around. Especially if I need to take my son. The scan thing is weird. I mean totally weird. Also just as an fyi mention the spotting you've had and that you are stressing they will do a scan asap. :) Hope that helps.
