15-9-2008 - Migraine

My mood while writing this blog: hung over

I went to the ER yesterday with a migraine that would not quit. They sent me up to L&D and hooked me up for a NST. I was contracting and did not realize it until I was lying there. The baby's heart rate was in the 170 - 180 range which is high. The nurse checked my cervix and I was dilated to 2. The Dr suggested I have an IV as he had suspicion that I was dehydrated. After the IV bag was half gone, the contractions stopped and the baby's heart rate went back to normal. They also gave me some medication called Nubain for the headache, and it did nothing. So their next move, send me bck down to the ER, where I would wait another 3 hours. Finally the gave me a shot of Dilaudid which took most of the pain away. Now I have the worst hang over feeling. :(
