09-7-2009 - False alarm, PHEW!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Heya ladies,

So, yesterday morning i experienced some cramps down low but i was going for my antenatal check that morning so i wasnt concerned, the doctor just said that it could be the baby moving lower down, so i was fine with that. Then, i was experiencing braxton hicks most of the day which is normal so i wasnt worried about that either, but when they started coming every 6 minutes and i had pain with them in the evening, i was thinking OMG this is not happening. I was sat eating dinner and watching telly when they began. I sat down for 1 hour and timed them. They were coming every 6 minutes and lasting for about 1 minute. I then rung the hospital and spoke to a midwife who told me to stay at home, have a hot bath and take pain killers and see how things go. Also to drink an ice cold drink and moniter babies kicks for 1 hour, which i did and baby kicked like mad which is good. (Her movements have slowed alot the past 3 days) Then i had to ring her back.

The pain and contractions eventually eased off and grew further and further apart, around 1 hour later, they stopped. I rung the midwife back and explained whats happened since our phone call, and she told me to stay at home tonight, go to bed and see what happens over night and in the morning. It is now 8.20 am, i have been to bed (not that it was a good nights sleep, Ashton is teething again, he had me up 4 times the little monkey!) and i havent had any atall, or last night which im happy about. If they start up again i have been told to ring back up and i will have to go down to the hospital.

Fingers crossed i wont experience anymore until the time around when im due!!!
