16-7-2009 - 36 week midwife appointment

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Hello ladies,

Well everything went fine today, my urine and blood pressure are all fine. I am measuring at 34 weeks but midwife said that was fine, baby doesnt feel big atall. Babys heartbeat is going strong and she got it first time which is unusual for me!! Ive also been told to take 2 iron tablets a day instead of one as my iron levels are low and i suffer from anaemia (only due to the pregnancy thou) I also suffered from it with Ashton too.

Ok, so i totally freaked out when she was feeling the baby and went "theres the back, and the bum, theres a little foot and oh..... whats this" i was like OMG its not another baby is it?, she said "hmmmm im not sure what that is, but i no its not another baby!" I was thinking PHEW! Luckily after a while she could feel it was the babys shoulder! Her shoulder is sticking out in my left side, which is why i have alot of discomfort down there. She is still head down but not in my pelvis yet. When i experience pressure its because shes dropped down, and then the next day shes come back up again. Very commom in second pregnancies amd my midwife explained this could happen all the way up until im in labour.

I am so excited, i am going to look around the birthing suite soon, i cant wait!!! The hospital were i had Ashton, and also planned on having this baby, have moved there maternity unit to another hospital closer by so i am having my baby there. It is brand new and only just opened in July. Lucky me! All new equipment and apparently it is supposed to be lovely. I cant wait to go see!!!

P.S - My little girl has been non stop moving all day, theres been hardly any time when she hasnt been moving =)shes kicking me at this moment too. Its amazing, ive even video recorded my belly making very strange shapes!! Wish i could post it for you all to see.
