08-6-2009 - 17 weeks and still waiting

My mood while writing this blog:
patiently waiting

Hi everyone. I havent been to the doc yet. I'm still waiting on my medicaid that "should" be here by the end of the month....so they say! But the good news is I have been feeling my baby move every day (a lot most days) for a few weeks now. So at least i know he/she is ok. I have been having some pains under my right rib when i lay on my left side and breathe. If it gets too bad i will be at the ER. I actually saw the baby kick today but the weird thing about it is that it was above my belly button. At 17 weeks the uterus is still supposed to be below the belly button, so i was surprised. But i have been feeling the baby move since then, but it was low like its normally been. Hopefully it will come this month and then I can make my 1st doc appt even though I'll be between 20-22 wks preg, I still cant wait!

Hope you get to the doctor soon...it's great that you can feel the baby though, that's really reassuring. I'm seventeen weeks and maybe I'm missing it but I haven't felt the baby moving yet., Then again, this is my first go at this so maybe I just don't know what to look for. Is it possible that you could be a little further along than 17 weeks?

Does the pain under your right ribs happen mostly at night, or all the time you lay down on your left side? Does it hurt anywhere else at the same time? Is it a dull ache, sharp pain, throbbing pain?
