17-10-2008 - Week #16-Heart Attack and Pic's!

Had my week #16 chek up today and got to meet my NP for the first time and she's english, which I wasn't prepared for so the accent took me aby surprise when she came in the room. :0) Especially since it was 7am!!!

So we talked and blah, blah , blah about my aches and pains and how there is nothing they can do for the sciatica or head aches...grrrr!!! But anyways, she gets me on the table and using the doppler to get a heart rate and says to me "I CAN'T FIND IT!!!! I swear to GOD that was the longest 10 minuets in my life, and she could see that I was starting to panic! Which I did and had started to cry when she says, come with me we're going to the ultra sound room to get the fetal heart tones. Holy crap, I was freaking and got to the room, laid on the bed and she went to work and with in 1 minute she says "its ok I got the heart rate!" Those are the best words I have ever heard at this point!!!!!

So after she gets the heart rate, I asked her what happened and she tells me that " You are carrying MUCH higher than expected at this stage"...Uh OH!!! That means that I am gonna have a hell of a time carrying this kid cause it's gonna be kicking on my lungs!!!! Damn it! But the funny part is that the tech; she says "I'll be sure to let your NP know that she was looking in the wrong place!!" So I got two new pic's of the baby and a heart attack this morning, all in all....could have been worse!

So I am scheduled to for the BIG one on Nov 21st and was texting my Dh on the way out of the clinic telling him to take a half day cause he's coming with me!!! LOL!!! Can't wait!!! Everyone pray I'm havein a boy!!
