Slapped by Reality

I just found out that my dear cousin Cindy was found murdered on Tuesday morning. A man walking his dog found her naked, covered in mud, and left on the side of the road. The police have no idea who did it yet, and the press is making her out to be trash just because she had a drug problem in the past. The picture they used of her was an old mug shot, that is so offensive and hurtful to my family!

My heart is so heavy with sorrow for her, and my aunt and uncle! This is aweful, and I can't take time off of work to stay home. I am so distracted and crying that I can't get anything done, but I still have to be here. I just had to get this out there and find some peace that she is in a better place now.

Cindy and I grew up together in northern Minnesota, and then my aunt and uncle moved away to Florida. We lost touch for many years, but we re-connected in 2005 when my grandpa passed away. And now she is gone forever....this is such a hard time in my life. Reality just hit me that it could be anyone at anytime....which is scarey!! I mean I am 32 yrs old and it just hit me....and hit me hard!

Please say a prayer for Cindy's soul and that the police find her murderer. Thanks for letting me get this out.

Oh hon, you went from so happy to so sad. my heart breaks for you!!!! I will definitely keep your dear cousin and your family in my prayers. It is so terrible and I couldn't imagine anything like that happening to someone so close and precious to me. I'm truly sorry for your loss. We are all here for you.
