13-7-2010 - Tubes this Friday!!!!

My mood while writing this blog:
Edgy...

Hannah's tubes are being put in her ears this FRIDAY morning at 9:15am! I got the call from the hospital to pre-register today and they gave me all the directions of what to do. I am scared shitless right now!!!!!

Nikki never had any surgeries, and my only ones were to have the girls, so I really am NOT prepared for some nurse to take my baby and put her under anestesia (sp?). And of course I am an idiot and Googled the side effects of anestesia on babies...stupid, stupid, stupid!!! Jeeeezzze....you'd think I was smarter than that!?

Anyways, now Jay isn't sure if he can come and be with me while she's getting the tubes put in. I am kinda freaking out and he's not helping. He's just kinda brushing it off and thinks it's not a big deal for her. WHOLLY CRAP, REALLY???!!!! I think it's a huge deal!!!!! Anyways, maybe I am over reacting or maybe not, all I do know is I am worried and praying for the best. I know this in her best interest both physically and mentally, but I still feel like it'll be all my fault if something goes wrong (God forbid!)

So, Friday morning my little monkey mama goes to the hospital for her tubes and I'm gonna sign up to be admitted to a padded room till she's done! Please say a little prayer for her to be safe, if you can.

Hey hun i am thinking of Hannah!! things will work out and she is a tough cookie she will be okay! i was scared and worried too when Eric went in 3 months for a hernia surgery :*( he was in and out with 2 hours and i stayed beside him and gave him milk after and he was just tired. he was back to him self again the next day! he was happy and smiling :) thank god! honstly dont worry! i know it's hard and its your baby girl but hang in there. this is the best things for hannah :) Sorry for this but i wish i could kick jay in the ass ! At least come after she wakes up! honestly! sorry but that bugged me! thinking of you both!!!

You aren't overreacting at all!!! (well, bc you are her momma, you are allowed to overreact and it's not really seen as overreacting) She'll be fine!! A couple of my friends had to get their babies tubes and their babies were playing withing a few hours of the surgery like it never happened!! Yeah probably not the smartest thing to do looking up side effects of anesthesia...LOL. However the chances are sooo uncommon!! I know you are excited and scared...it's completely normal!! Hang in there momma and it will be over before you know it!!!

My son Jack was put under local anestesia when they did his surgery for his clubfoot at 10 weeks old. It was scary for me. I had to wait for the surgeon to come out and say with much relief that the surgery went well and they took us back to see him. He had some fluids in an IV in his little hand. We got to take him home within 1 hr of him waking up from his surgery. He was very sleepy that day but all went well. I will say a prayer for your lil one. :)
