| 05-8-2009 - Why me? | My mood while writing this blog:Meh |
Ok. So I know that "everyone gets stretchmarks", but c'mon! Mine are BAD. And I can't help but feel it's so unfair. I don't know what would make it 'fair', but I'm just saying....
Now I'm not talking about those little streaks you might get, nor am I talking about just a 'few'. I have them from left to right from 2-3 inches above my belly button all the way down to my V! Well the top of it anyway...And they're red, deep and wide!!! Not ONLY that, but my belly button has one big bad one going through it. YES... through it! So now my belly button is misshapen...BADLY.
It's just so upsetting. I don't care what you're confidence level is, or age, it is soooo unsightly and I'm only 23! Now I can't ever feel confortable in my own skin again?
I hate it when I explain it to ppl. that don't understand. They say.."they'll fade" or "It's all worth it" They always shut up if I show them just ONE stretchmark; then they give me the "ohhhh..." face. *sigh*
I'm not saying I would rather have my old stomach and no baby, but ppl. talk to you like that's the only option. Meanwhile I see lots of women with just thin less painful looking stretchmarks, or none at all.
I just wish I could have my stomach back. I am happy that it's flat, but what good is that when I can't even face myself in the mirror? It's not my stomach anymore.
I'm not wishing for washboard abs...those I can work for. But how the hell am I supposed to fix my destroyed skin? It's too far gone for vitamin E or Bio oil.
I never thought I'd be considering a tummy-tuck at 23.
