29-12-2008 - 1st appt. update

Today I had my 1st appt and it went very well. Keith got to see the baby and heartbeat for the first time. The doctor had been on vacation and today was his first day back so it was VERY crowded in the office and there was a long wait. We interviewed with a nurse informing us on cigarette smoke and children/unborn children. Although neither one of us smoke it was very informative. Then a nurse weighed me :0(, took my bp and complete history. Finally, it was time to have my exam by the nurse practioner and then more history and after that we met with the doctor and he did the ultrasound. I had on the belly and transvaginal, he gave us pictures of both ( I will post them when I feel up to going downstairs to the scanner). Once we met with the doctor he wrote for me to have bloodwork and a complete ultrasound exam down in the radiology dept. I did my bloodwork today but the complete u/s study is scheduled for 1-26-09. The doctor also called in me a prescription for reglan and pepcid-AC both for my extreme nausea.

Today was a very full day and I am exhausted. I am glad that everything is going well so far with this pregnancy and I am already excited for my next visit on 1-26-09.
