My mood while writing this blog:
very sad

Today was not a good day, actually this month sucked large. I am ALWAYS exhausted, it's tough working 45- 50 hours besides bringing work home. Keeping up on the housework, shoveling the driveway - not an easy task when pregnant I might add - renovating the nursery, the Holiday shopping, wrapping, exchanging gifts. To all the other single women out there doing it by yourself, big non-alcoholic cheers to you. To all the married, engaged, dating women out there who are frustrated with their significant other, cherish him, appreciate him, at least he is there for you. I am so emotional lately, going to the mall or out to dinner or a movie & seeing happy pregnant couples, I am sooooo jealous. If anyone asks, I say I am fine with everything, life is great, my cheeks hurt from plastering on the fake smile.
Today I became selfish & turned the ringer off, I am not taking calls, answering email, nada. I had to put my beloved Bailey (shepherd-lab cross) down. She was my babygirl, my "firstborn" so to speak. She was unbelievably smart - shoulda been a police dog smart. She was my shadow, following my every move, loved to learn new "tricks", she was the perfect dog that I always dreamed of. Today she was 15 yrs & 1 month, rest her soul. Her quality of life was not what she was used to, senile, losing bowels, going deaf, loss of depth perception...it was time. At least she had 1 more Christmas with treats & toys & lotsa love.
Gotta go, I'm outta kleenex & I don't want to short circuit the laptop.

sorry about your doggie...i got a little teary eyed...really made me think of losing my childhood dog and how painfull it was to go through. and just the thought of losing my two precious doggies i have now is almost unbearable. i'm very sorry you had to put her down. my heart goes out to you.

I feel your pain and am so sorry you to hear of your loss. I had to put my dog down this summer too. She was my first baby and best friend too, but I know it was for the best. And now I'm at peace with knowing she's in a better place. I hope you can find other good things around, like the good people you have in your life. Hang in there and take it easy.

So sorry for your loss :( Hang in there, things will be wonderful once baby is here, only 11 more weeks to go. I've realized my dh is not perfect and I'm not the only one that's going through a hard time, it's him too, dealing with me and his own thoughts and feelings about having a child and how our lives will soon change. Acceptance of change, of anything really, can be a hard thing to do sometimes, for everyone.
