I took my lil pumpkin to the doctor's today for his 2 month check up, and the nurse practionier said she heard a murmur. I'm still in shock. I never thought something like this would happen to my baby. The physician assistant knew I was upset, and immediately said "it's not a bad heart murmur" on a scale 1-6 he's about a 1, but it's protocol to send infants to a specialist if we detect one. I was given a referral to see a cardiologist. On top of that Nehemiah got 4 shots today, 2 shots in each thigh. I cried harder then Nehemiah. The nurse said "I need mom assistance in his, mom is crying. " When I got home I called my mom who left to go to Nassau last week, and I called my sister, who is a RN at one of the local hospitals in the area. I'm really emotional right now, praying that he'll grow out of this or maybe it's just a mistake. I can't stop crying, I want Nehemiah to have every chance in life just like everyone else. I'm at my computer holding him, and kissing him. I'm sure Nehemiah is like "what is going on with her today" (smile). He is my comfort, the only thing that's keeping me going right now. So I made the appointment with the specialist for April 10...which is 3 days away. I'm so glad I don't have to wait months before I can see someone.
