10-4-2008 - Nehemiah has a Guardian Angel

My mood while writing this blog: Relieved...Thanking God

I've been a total wreck this week, reading up on everything that has the word "heart murmur" or "murmur". After my son was examined by his pediatrician, she stated she heard a "murmur"....I was devasated. I felt maybe I had done something wrong or maybe I should have insisted that Nehemiah be delivered at 40 weeks instead of 37 weeks. I prayed to the only person I knew...and that was God...asking first for forgiveness for anything that I may have done wrong....then to have mercy on my son. I took Nehemiah to his appointment this morning....he was so pleasant to the staff at the cardiologist office. They all adored him. After taking his bloodpressure in 3 different areas, performing an EKG, and Ultrasound of his stomach, and heart my lil man was given a clean bill of health. He is expected to grow out of his murmur....it was so minor the doctor said their was no reason for a follow-up appointment. I'm so RELIEVED!!!!!!! I'm THANKFUL TO GOD.

I'm starting to believe this is a fairly common diagnosis as KJ has one as well.They also told me no follow up was needed, but I scheduled one for a year anyway just to be safe.
