| 23-4-2008 - Who would have thought??? | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
It's the funniest thing. I wrote my very first blog on the day I had my little ones. I had absolutely no idea they were ready to pop out :).
I went to the doctor's that day feeling a little tired, a lot swollen, and hoping the doctor would schedule my c-section for sometime in April... Ta da! She sure did! She scheduled it for that very same day and sent me over to the hospital right from the appointment. Blood pressure sky rocketed and my legs had swollen up all the way, top to bottom. She was worried about preclampsia and felt the little ones were far enough along and big enough to be okay. She was right!!!!
It's been a week now and my little rugrats are home with me. I am loving every minute of it. Well, let's be honest. The 1-3am fussy period makes me want to cry :), but other then that, I LOVE IT!!!!!
They both popped out healthy as clams. Sean had a low body temp though so they sent him off to the NICU just to check him out and monitor him for a few hours. He was back in our room by 11, only 2 1/2 hours after his birth. Madison was ready to go with us right away.
Sleeping that first night was impossible. I was riding on a high from having the little ones, and probably the feel good drugs too :). The next day though, oh boy! I highly recommend you say YES when the nurse asks you if you would like some pain med.s, especially if you had a c-section! I tried toughing it out, but was buzzing the nurse within an hour :).
Good luck to all you mom's to be out there, what a wonderful blessing it is!
