Had my 3rs visit with the OB today. Met one of the doctors for the 1st time...he was really nice. I was worried about weight gain (I thought I was gaining too much too fast) but I've only gained a half a pound! I couldn't believe it with all I eat! My BP was great 101/66 and we listened to the heartbeat which sounded clear and strong :)
I asked about my feet swelling ( I had to soak my feet in cold water and put tons of lotion on to remove a toe ring that was digging into me). I asked about a Rhogam shot (I'm Rh (-)). We taked about neural tube defects and the quad test to check for early signs of a problem. I really don't want to have the test done but my husband wants to know so I agreed because its not MY baby its OURS. I'll go have my blood drawn next week.
Still no ultrasound...for whatever reason they wait until 20 weeks, which makes me crazy but whatever...I'm just happy to know things are good. I go back end of July at 18 weeks.

hey im glad to hear the baby's doing good and about that test i wanted to get it done once they told me i would have to get a needle in my stomach if the blood work came back abnormal im terrified of needles so i decided not to go with it. oh next month you should be your sugar test visit i wouldnt eat anything that day i ate an d my sugar came back high i had to get 4 needles for nothing. thats good you didnt gain much weight yet i did i gain 24pds it looks good on me thought i was only wieghting 100pds b4 getting pregnant is the baby moving a bunch.(smile)

Hey I was wondering about the neural tube test that you're doing. What one is that? is it the mental retardation one? I'm still trying to decide if I want to get tested in that area. They always have false + and don't want to worry to death. But also- don't know what I would do if we did test.
