| 16-7-2008 - baby dream | My mood while writing this blog:pleased |
I had my first baby dream the other night...I've been expecting it so here it is.
It was December. My husband was at work. I was home busy in the house when my water broke. I called my husband on his cell phone which he did not answer and left him a message telling him what had happened and to let him know that the contractions weren't much but he should hurry home. He called me back within a fe minutes to tell me he would be a few hours (he delivers for UPS, his own truck is parked at the main building an hour from where he delivers and another hour from home). I told him I would try to wait but would call him if I ended up going to the hospital. I cleaned up my mess. Made a few more phone calls and waited till I couldn't anymore then I packed my car and drove myself to the hospital. When they checked me in and got me a room the nurse came in to check my cervix and said I was 7cm and crowning. They told me it was time to push but I did not want to because I was waiting for my husband. My best friend was with me and she told me it's not good for the baby if I don't push so I did and out the baby came (without my husband).
It was a girl (we are not planning to find out the sex ahead of time). She was perfect and so much hair. She was just over 7 lbs and 21 inches. The nurse told me if I had carried full term the baby would have easily been over 9 lbs. I don't know how early I was. They got the baby cleaned up and let me nurse right away.
I was so happy with everything but the fact that my man wasn't there...
I woke up to his alarm clock and told him about the dream. He was so happy about the baby but disappointed that he had missed the birth. He said that it would break his heart so much to not be there and he was going to need to come up with a plan so he could be quick getting to me if something happened. He works alot of hours and long days and he worries all the time about what he is going to miss out on.
Anyway, I wondered if there is any truth in dreams...could I really be having a girl??!!
