Ultrasounds of Aurora

29 Weeks

I had another ultrasound this morning. She weighs 2 lbs and 15oz now. She's getting so big! The pic is of her face and her little eyes are open : ) My cervix is still closed, but it went from 38mm to 34mm in the last 4 weeks. It's still considered normal though and I'm not at risk for preterm labor, thank god! Only 11 weeks to go!! XOXO

25 Weeks

For the last week or so, I've been experiencing lots of pressure and pain in my cervix and vajayjay and an area on the right side of my groin is swollen and is also painful. Because I'm only 25 weeks and didn't experience these symptoms with my 1st pregnancy, I called the doc and went in. She decided that I needed to get an u/s done to check that my cervix was still long and closed to rule out preterm labor. Aurora has grown so much! She reminds me a lot of Blydan and it looks like she's going to have chubby cheeks too. She weighs 1 pound and 10 ounces (which is the 52nd percentile) and she still likes crossing her little legs at the ankle. She had both of her hands in her little mouth the whole time. The pic I posted is the only one they gave me and unless you're very familiar with u/s then you can't even tell what it is. But it's her face and there's a little hand resting under her chin. Not a good pic, but oh well. We have the 3D u/s in 2 1/2 weeks anyway. Oh and she's head down, Blydan was the same way, he was pretty much head down from the get go and then around week 30 he burrowed himself down in my pelvis and was ready to go. My cervix looked great and is still long and closed, so no preterm labor risk for me!! Hope you're all doing well!! XOXO

18 Weeks 5 Days

I had my anatomy scan today and she is still a girl. Everything looked great, they were very thorough. She weighs half a pound and still likes crossing her little legs at the ankles. I think this will be my last u/s for a while!! And while I'll miss seeing her, I'm happy I'm going to have half as many appointments and the far drive to the u/s place. Hope everyone is doing great!! 16 Weeks

It's a girl!!!! I'm shocked, but she's so cute and she loves crossing her legs and propping them up on the uterus wall. She did it again this time : )

12 Weeks 5 Days

Well it was too early to tell the gender, but he/she has definitely blossomed from a little seahorse to a baby in the last 5 weeks! It was so cute to see the baby bouncing around and moving it's little arms and legs! The heartbeat was 153 bpm. I still think it's a boy, but we'll see in 3 weeks : )

7 Weeks 6 Days

These are technically my 2nd ultrasound pics, I got my 1st done at 5 weeks and 6 days, but she didn't give me any pics. These are taken at 7 weeks and 6 days. I got to hear the heartbeat, it was 160 bpm and everything looked great. He/She looks like a little seahorse : )
