17-6-2009 - Is anyone else having a hard time being a student and pregnant?

I just wanted to know if any of the other mommies are in school and find it kinda difficult to concentrate or remember or even walk that long "forever" walk to class? It seem like the further along (29 wks) I get the harder it is to get my "fat" self up and go to class. I am determined to finish this summer semester and take classes in the fall with an infant but its getting kinda difficult right now anyone else understand what I'm talking about please let me know!

We'll I am not in school, but I do know what you mean. I am a normal gym rat. I would work out 4-5 times a week. We'll, let's just say that my routine has gone by the way side... Now, I am going about once a week. I just feel so huge and don't want to work out in this state. I know that it's better if we do, but I don't feel like I can do anything that I used to do.

This morning, I dropped my car off at a repair shop to get the spark plugs changed. I didn't arrange to have anyone pick me up. So, I walked to my office. It was about a mile away. You should have seen me!!!! It was so funny. There were so many people honking and waving at the pregnant lady walking! You would think that I was a celebrity walking or something! It was crazy.. I even had 2 co workers, stop and offer me a ride back to the office. I declined and said that I would just keep walking for the exercise. Have you encountered anything like that before? ????? It really was too funny.

Hi. Nope, I'm not in classes, but I do get what you're saying. I work for the family business part time and sometimes I walk down the hall to our front secretary's desk to ask her something and can't remember what it was. I have to walk around with a notebook and pen or I forget what I'm doing. Glad it's not just me. And yes, the further I go the less I like moving around at work. What classes are you taking currently? You have more ambition than I do to start fall classes with a newborn. I admire that. Good luck.
